A while ago, actually a long time ago when I was about six or seven, my cousins decided we should all ride their four-wheeler. Now I'm talking two teenagers around 16-18 years old and my one cousin younger than me on one of these things. The ride started out slow enough, but once my older cousins knew we were outta sight of the adults, things changed. My two cousins were sitting on the actual seat of the four-wheeler, but me and my younger cousin were sitting on the cage like bars on the back. My idiot older cousin of the two older ones decided to scare the skin of our bones. He started swerving and skidding. Me and my younger cousin were baul'in and scwal'in like new born babies. I was lucky to not have had a full bladder or else I woulda peed my pants! Both me and my younger cousins knuckles were white, just trying to hang on. Then came the worst part... there it was, a hole about 8 or 10 foot wide with a pile of dirt on one side. Next thing I know we are speeding towards it at full speed! Then "WHOOSH!!!" the four-wheeler was airborn! I remember screaming as loud as I could. we landed on the other side with a bounce, and nothing broken, bones or shocks. If the thing hadn't made the jump it wouldn't have been too bad. The hole was only about, oh, I 'd say 4 or 5 feet deep. Anyways, my older cousins said to not speak a word to the adults of the matter. One could tell they were rattled too. I finally told my father of the incedent about a year ago, I'm 18 now. So I was silent about it for a while. Long enough in fact for the cousin that drove the four-wheeler to die in a bad car crash. I always knew he was reckless. I miss him alot. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the story. |
