![]() WTF OMG etc. What is this?! Another competition? Essentially, No. No prizes, no banners, just the experience you get from animating a different thing each week. Make as many as you want -- the more you do, the more you get out of it! However I felt that this was the most appropriate place to put it because new threads will be getting created each week. So nyah. The rules for these tasks Basically, each week you'll be given a rough guideline to follow. Anything you want to add is completely up to you. The main idea is just to have fun and improve at animating. This week's Animate That is: We'll start with an easy one. The person (or creature of your choice) innocently stands on the street. Suddenly, a 1000 Lbs weight lands on the person (or creature) 's head. Natrually, they get flattened, however your super-strong person (or creature) lifts up the weight above it's head and throws it. <edit> Forgot this bit.. Some things to consider: When the person/creature lifts the weight up, will they be in the ground? something has to happen to them... Maybe they got flattened but somehow manage to "puff themselves up". How will the person/creature react when they realise they're about to be flattened by 1000 pounds? They could be scared, they could try to do the ol' run-away in the air but get nowhere, they could just give an "not again" look, etc. When they lift the weight up, will they keep perfect balance? will the weight sway from left to right? Might they drop the weight instead of throwing it? Will they crush any innocent bystanders or old grannies (they don't count as innocent... :bitey:)?HAVE FUN!

guys, if ya gonna quote people at least delete the swfs source outta the quote box. otherwise we will have 3 of the same animation playing and if everyone quotes everyone, the amount of aniamtions will be immense. (dunno if it slows everything down, cuz theyt are all sourced from the same URL, but just incase.) cool animation vector. ill have a pop at this one sometime. |

Please forgive me if I'm making this too complicated-- but I have a Question: Is the 1,000 lb. weight limited to the standard 'acme' type-- or can we be a little more creative with it?

it lands on him too slow. i wud make it a lot quicker just at the end of the animation. and have secondary animations happening, like piano keys flying off and maybe at a puff of smoke to it too. squash and stretch people, squash and stetch, makes it look more dynamic as well as impactful. as though the piano weighs sooo much that it deforms as it slams onto the ground. other than then, pretty cool and nicely drawn piano |

When the person/creature lifts the weight up, will they be in the ground? something has to happen to them... Maybe they got flattened but somehow manage to "puff themselves up".
