![]() The rules for these tasks Basically, each week you'll be given a rough guideline to follow. Anything you want to add is completely up to you. The main idea is just to have fun and improve at animating. This week's Animate That is: Start with an ordinary person or object. Add one wizard or spellcaster of your choice. Do some magic on the ordinary person or object, and watch it transform. For added flavour, make the ordinary person/object transform into something zaney, for example a muscle-builder could turn into a nerd, a princess into a monster-truck driver, etc etc. Some things to consider: How will your character or object transform? Will the magic work the first time around? What will the character/object's reactions be before/during/after the transformation? If you want to, where will the character/object be located at? Will they be sitting on the loo?:P Will there be any after-effects?The Focus: Consider mutation rather than instant transformation, this will help you improve not only your animating skills, but it will help you focus on the anatomy of the two objects and how you can merge them. You don't have to go overboard with the effects of the wizard, simply pointing a wand or something will be enough. The focus of this task is the anatomy, not the effects.HAVE FUN!

I really like the jumpyness on what you have there, gives it a spontanious edge. I'll assume that you aint finished with it yet so I thought I'd say that the dissipation of the "poof" needs to be slower and less erm...spinny? if you dont know what I'm on about then you can ignore me completly... or ask me to explain... eithers good. |

i've never attempted effects before but i gather dissapation means the time in takes to dissapear i'll go watch nelsons stuff to learn more about that.My ambitions lie in character animation, but i'll give everything a shot. i'll finish up during the week, its only keys now. |

OOOoH I see, I misread it, thought you were being arrogant by correcting me

How will your character or object transform?
Consider mutation rather than instant transformation, this will help you improve not only your animating skills, but it will help you focus on the anatomy of the two objects and how you can merge them.
You don't have to go overboard with the effects of the wizard, simply pointing a wand or something will be enough. The focus of this task is the anatomy, not the effects.
