I'm am drooling over those Aston Martins.....slobber....

I can see you taking the photo in the car pics in the reflection.
The beach photo is very good as it drags your eye from the foreground up towards the top. Nice. Plus the thick black frame suits it well.

I know this is late but my dad just sent me it in a n email. I'm pretty sure it's like an Australian celebration or something. I didn't take th photo but I thought it was awesome.

It was taken in Perth, Australia on the 26th of January 2007 :P

Aside from the obvious Attraction, in the middle of the photo you can see the third McNaught's Comet.... or something like that

Yeah I don't think something you just stumbled upon should go in to the "Show your stuff" area.

Kinda defeats the purpose.

It's a cool photo but this will still give the impression that you did it. Which is as you said not true.

Sucks that it's so small for such a HD panoramic photo.

Oh right... Umm, sorry, it's just that there isn't another photography section in this forum... I think... and I'm a bit shy to make threads...

You clearly stated that you didn't take the photo, and the version you posted was pretty low res. I wouldn't worry about it; it's a very impressive capture.

That said, I'm sure the mods would appreciate on-topic posts, so i'll just shut up now.. ;)

:o :) Loving the site Dan! Lovely ASness.

(Change the font of the text in your HTML photography section though man. If you are going to use serif fonts go for Garamond, and make it a little smaller.

Garamond body text is quite nice when small but as for title text I would reccomend a sans serif font maybe. So far I am loving the Action scripted photo thumbnails section.

The photos themselves are great. Some really nicely focussed shots with blurred backgrounds. I take it your new camera is the bee-knees or the dogs bollocks. Or even a bee that has nice knees and also a dogs bollocks. If so cooool camera. :P

The artsy sculpture photos were taken out the front of a house in Chewton, a few minutes drive from Castlemaine, in Victoria (Australia). The flowers and ducks were at the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens.

@Juggz, the font that I assigned it was definitely Sans Serif.... I set it to use Syndie (The "pixel font") so I don't know what you're seeing.... Could you throw me a screenie?

The panasonic is a pretty decent camera, Neyals; I think you'll be pleased with it. In fact, that was one of the cameras that I considered before buying a Rebel Xt (which consequently became a 30D a couple weeks ago). I think you'll like it.

By the way, Sunday, 25 February is my birthday too.

In compesitions look for contrast, an interesting focus, shapes and angles. The snakes looks great and the first picture is my favourite. You have the nice contrast between the orange/rust coloured snake with its skaled texture and the smooth green of the plant. The camera your getting looks good too :)

Thanks guys, I will be taking alot of snake pictures and lizard pictures because my hobby is reptiles so hopefully I will get better at it.

To Folville: awesome, what a coincidence, one of my friends at school has the same birthday as me and was born only five minutes after me! You are a year older though!

Edit: just dug this up, thought it was funny, its my little bro when we were on holiday in spain. I tweaked with it a little, he looks good but I could never get the background to go back to looking normal.

I call it HULK BOY!

Again this is using my mums camera.

to Vector:

I meant when you click one of the thumbnails in your funky flash section, for example, clicking the Day Trip thumbnail which then opens a HTML page with the table of photo thumbnails. This page.

Also personally I wouldnt use Sydnie as the font in your flash. Pixel fonts can look blurry most of the time and unfortunately they do in yours. But this can be overcome by making sure the text box coordinates are whole numbers. If the text box is set on a coordinate that isnt a whole number, 2 screen pixels basically fight over that particular pixel in the text and causes it to blur. Kinda like setting the text pixel over a gap between screen pixels.

So what i would say to do is: Ignore that convoluted explanation above and just make sure all your text boxes are set to whole coordinates by highlighting one and pressing CTRL I to bring up the info. Again doing this may not actually fix the problem as your text is constantly moving, but it is worth a try.

There are better pixel fonts out there as well, one I think called 'FFF Harmonic' and its free. Most of them you need to pay for.
