Effin: keep up the photography you're doing great. I especialy like the colours, closeness and texture in 'thoughts' Tom: Pepsi is amazing! Not just that you managed to catch a shot like that but because the bricks add to it. Brown pepsi, brown bricks with the contrast of the white and the can is great. The shoe is great too. Actually al your photos are good |

^^ Nice composition. I really like how you decided to take an off-balance approach to accentuate the length of the stairs. The flow and direction of the lines you have going there is really-- O wait, you were blindfolded? I mean, uh, why gee, what did you most this image for anyway? |

Hey Matt. That flower picture, the very last one in your other post, you should have a macro setting on your camera. Push Menu, and look for a little symbol of a magnifying glass inside brackets []. That lets you get within an inch of an object to get a clear picture. Also, a lot of the pictures look blurry, washed out. Try to fix mess with the setting and see what you can do.
If you look at all the closeups of flowers I did, I had used my macro setting. It helps a lot.

This is going to sound really harsh, doom, but I'll say it anyway, but please don't take it as an insult or a slam. When I view a photography thread in an art forum I expect a certain level of artistry in the photos. You know, dusky skies, Arabian nut sellers, gothic mirror-portraits, and cats... that kind of thing. It seems to me, however, that you're really just posting everything that comes out of your camera, good, bad, or otherwise. You're seeking advice, i'm sure, and this is definitely the place to do it, but some of these photos simply don't lend themselves to critical advice very well. Maybe it isn't my place to comment like this, but photos that are way out of focus, blurred from too slow a shutter, or massively underexposed (or worse yet, way overexposed) are hard to critique. That said, you clearly have the ambition to go out and take photos, so let's see what you can do! Compose the shots in advance, consider the lighting, get low to the ground or high above it to alter the perspective; just doing a few simple things like that can make a world of difference in your photos. Happy shooting. ; *edit: typos |

I agree with floville. Not to offend at all dude, you seem to really wanna get out there and get some great work, and you can. Like he said, try angles and lighting. Also, look at your camera's manual and make sure the setting are on auto or set to the environment you are in. The pictures are coming out grainy, overexposed, and blurry. You can use some of my work as a reference: My Photobucket - All Images Just go ahead and scroll down, see some of the scenery I did, some of the angles or lighting I chose or the Sepia vs. Color. Just work with the settings like I said. You can come up with great images.
