erm..i appreciate the tips...but folville...you didnt have to be so harsh...im like new to this so calm down...i know i suck(right now) but you could be less harsh ok

I actually thought he was pretty fair. He never came out and said "OH MY GOD!! THESE ARE HIDEOUS!!!"

He told you where your faults were and where you should strive to improve. That's the kind of constructive criticism I'd look for if I was an inexperienced photographer.

True.

I got worse comments in Photography a couple years ago. So I kept trying new things and trying harder and the work started turning out really well. It wasn't harsh, they were just pointers. If anything, I'd rather be blatantly told that my work is bad and needs improvement here, here, and here.

I tried, doom, to be as tactful as I could, and I'm sorry if you thought i was being rude or offensive, but you will never improve if we sit here telling you that this photo and that were great or awesome if they really weren't. What you need to do is strive to improve your ratio of keepers to tossers (hehe, tosser.. ;)), which basically means that you need to focus on taking fewer shots but more quality ones rather than more overall. Think about the picture before you take it; consider how it might look in print or on the computer, and then shoot. If i wanted to cut you down, I would have simply said something harsh and would have offered no advice, but as it is, I think you have potential, you just need some guidance.

Anyway, here's a photo I took at a recent baseball game; the sun was peeking through the clouds and illuminated the drops of falling rain that appear in the photo as golden bokeh. C&C away.

(5-12 megapixel)

You can get varying mega pixels?

greywolf: not bad photos, the angles and focusing points are good. The waterfalls also have a lot of energy. Shame about the lighting though, looks like it was taken at noon. Best lighting I find is afternoon on a clear day, noon tends to be too bright and greys everything. Nice work and can't to see what else you have

Doom: not a bad shot, try lots of different angles to add to the composition. My favourite is the black and white version.

I think, in the rapid water shots, you should heighten your ISO speed. In my opinion it looks better that way.

Classic example of the midday sun greying everything.
The others though (as they were taken in areas with some shading) are a lot better though. Great shots and keep it up!
