I use a dinky little Olympus FE-190. I edit all my photos in photoshop, though, so some of that sharpness is artificial.

The Red Moon from the Eclipse on the 29th. It's slightly blurry in the picture because I had full digital and near full optical zoom on to get the detail.

Brilliant shot Calco! Wow it must have been stunning.

I sharpened it for you:

had a sharper one but photobucket's being a pain and won't upload it but you can do it yourself using the smart sharpen filter on PhotoShop and get it just how you want it

My dad let me borrow his little digital this week so I can post some stuff on Ebay. I went around the house taking shots with and messing with the settings. Here are the ones I liked the most (none of these things are going on Ebay, so you can't bid on my weiner dog. Sorry.)

A cool little candle holder my grandma has on the swings table on the deck outside.

One of the many trees in her yard.

The last one was my personal favorite at the time I was taking them until I got it on my PC and saw the horrible red lenses flare. I still think its a good shot if you look at it cross-eyed though (EDIT: Never mind, you can still see it -_-).

Theirs one more I really want to show but it came out far to under exposed so I'll reshoot it for tomorrow.

- You're seeing some nice things (the pattern of the bells, the form of the candle/rocks) but your photos all seem to be around eye level. Experiment with angle, positioning, and orientation (horizontal/vertical) of the camera. Also try to include a fore, middle, and background.

The bench & cobblestone picture is sightful, Dash! Plenty of rich tones & texture. :)

Thought I'd give this thread a bump:
I recently, after being persuaded by my boyfriends mum, got a flickr account so I've been sorting through all my photography. Eventually I'll get on explore...

Constructive criticism would be extremely helpful as I'm doing photography as my skill in my Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Those are great, Pillow! I don't have time right now to do a full critique of all of them... it's late.

BUT if you want, you can IM me on AIM some time during the day, and we can talk about them. I'm almost always online.

I love the quality of developed images, they have a quality and character digital could never capture.

The kid's my little brother I don't pictures of other peoples kids unless they ask.

Thanks for the offer Congar but I don't use aim, only msn and skype.

Here are my Christmas shots, I wanted to keep them subtle rather than overwhelming and I think I achieved it.

I quite like this shot, got to the beach the other day, it was so cold the sand was coated in a light layer of frost and the beach looked silver

The last shot was manual focus, practising manual focus to see if it's worth getting the AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D which doesn't have an internal motor, therefore with my D40 body I'd have to use manual.

These last shots were taken with sheets of ice. C&C very welcome.

Thanks Munch, technically there's only three stars though. Well...six since I used a golden weaved star behind the shards of ice to create the tone and textures
