The rose is definantly the best of the three, the pink one, personally I think it should have been taken from a bit closer the the flower, but thats me.

I uploaded a bunch more of my pics to my deviant page click

Purdy flowers!

1st:
I'd kinda like to see some more variance in the blue of the sky, but unless you know how to control the weather, that's out of your hands. (If you find out how, please let me know.)

2nd:
My favorite of the 3...good position for your center of focus (pink flower) & it's pleasing against the green of the rest of the plant.

3rd:
A little too centered, imo. Also, opening the aperture up will blur the background more, for future reference ;) .

Nice overall! Clear & crisp, and nice depth of field on all 3. Have you been searching for abandonments yet?

I may sneak into Denbigh Asylum which is near where I live...that would involve illegal breaking and entering though...but it'd be a nice place to shoot I mean...who wouldn't want photos of an abandoned mental hopsital which also happened to be the first in wales? There's also a run down manor house not too far from me which I might check out too. Thank's for the advice!!

First shot at photography, today... got a camera for my birthday, yesterday.

I know they're dark, but I'm still learnin' and I don't want to use Photoshop to touch 'em up.

A few decent ones from a few extra shots I had on another roll that I forgot about (from the previous batch):

These second ones came from this (<--buddie's shots) abandoned hotel that I got up around 7 in the morning to infiltrate. Was going to try out my new camera, but I f'd up loading the film & got discouraged. All went well, although it's right off the main intersection of town & you have to enter/exit through these heavy metal slabs into the basement of this place. As soon as I had gotten out, some curious locals had seen me crawl out, but I told them I just "dropped my lens cap in the sewer, so I had to get it." :ph43r:

Soon as I get a wide angle lens for my new camera, I'm going back! 4 stories, a mazey basement, & pigeons that fly out of the most unexpected places!

I like the one with the book, bro; nice work!

Are you still using medium format (or maybe i'm wrong with that guess)? If you have made it to dslr, and you're looking for a good wide angle lens, Sigma makes an 8mm fisheye that's a real beaut. I was a little skeptical at first, but once I started using it I found it to be great. :bing:

I'm actually just getting into m format (New camera's a Bronica SQ-A). These are from my 35mm. I have no plans for going dslr....I'm adament in my commitment to film. I could give you a list a mile long why, but it'd turn into a very opinionated rant. :P

No need, that's totally fair; I know a guy in the camera business who always told me what fun it was to use a medium format camera, but he eventually got into dslrs because they were so easy to use, compact, and Canon had a wide range of available lenses.

I personally have never even loaded film into a camera, so I'm no judge of the two... :gasp:

It's quite difficult to shoot in black and white, but when I'll get one of those old russian cameras (Zenit) then I'll try again and pay more attention to values.

And thanks. :fpbls:
