The code is correct, and the up, over, down and hit things work too.. but it just doesnt do anything. Thanks in advance, Jack |

From memory, this is a weird thing that flash does, and to my knowledge you just can't do it, I'm afraid.

it depends jack. Do u want the button to control the movie clip it is in? Or do u want the button to control the movieclip that the movieclip containing thr button is in? Or do u wan the button to control the main timeline? Its simple enough. Here is the code for the button:
the _root. tells the movie that if that particular button is pressed, the main timeline is controlled. If u want to control the movieclip the button is in, its simply the normal button code. To control the movieclip that contains the scond movie (which contains the button) u need to create the path so that the movie knows u r trying to control it.
{EDIT} Just read Vectors post.... i thought...well...i have done the above in my experience. but...unless...AHHH I dunno. im confused. maybe i read Jacks post wrong? {EDIT NUMERO 2} Just tested what I posted, (which maybe is what Jack meant) and it works fine and dandy... Maybe I got ur meaning wrong mate... |
