Earlier this year I was asked by my neighbors to watch over their house. My job consisted of waking up early, getting the mail and newspaper, and bringing it into the house every day. I was also supposed to go in every night and turn on three specific lights in the house and then turn them off the next day when I took the mail and newspaper in. My neighbor was a wax artist. He was one of those guys who sculpted the human body out of wax. His studio was in the back left corner of the house and had two windows on the back and left wall. This was one of the rooms I was supposed to turn the light on in every night. They also asked me to call them every night just to let them know that the house was in good condition.
It was the first day that they had left and I took the mail and newspaper in and placed it upon the table. I walked around the house and made sure everything was the way it was left. As I came closer to the studio the smell became more and more pungent. Wax had a very stale smell to it. I looked from out side the door in and everything seemed to look fine. I left the house and went back home. When I returned that night the house was pitch black. I came in turning the light on in the entrance room. I then went up stairs to the second bedroom light I was supposed to turn on in the front right of the house. I came back down and headed to the studio. The moon light crept in threw the windows and laid some pretty scary shadows on the ground from all the wax arms and hands that were half done on the tables. I proceeded to move forward and I flicked the light on. This was the first time I had seen the studio in over a year. I had come with my mother over when I was younger and I would look at the art in the studio when my mom was talking to the neighbors. At that time he wasn’t a known artist and had only half of a full human sculpture completed. This past year when I had taken a quick glimpse into the studio there was two complete wax sculptures and one that was half way done. The one that was half done had legs and an iron frame that hadn’t been covered yet. They looked so real it was amazing. Before I left I took a quick peak into the studio and saw the four completed statues placed next to each other in various poses. After I had poked my head in I turned and went to the phone. I called the neighbors and told them the house looked fine and I was going to go home. They were pleased to hear this. The next day I had came back and did the same routine. That night when I came in to turn the lights on I took a longer peak around the studio. I walked along the half crafted arms and legs and made my way finally to the four statue wax people. I walked along looking at their poses. It amazed me at how real they looked but I didn’t dare touch them. Who knows maybe they could break apart if I touch them. When I got home I turned on my television in my room and looked out the window. I had never realized that I could see right into the studio when the lights were on. My neighbor never worked at night. I kept looking for a little longer and watched as one of the statues sat still and looked forward. It almost looked as if it was looking at me and I got a little creped out so I shut the blinds.
On the third day I had gone back over to take care of the usual. That night I came back and turned on all the lights as usual. I took another look into the studio and the statue did look right out the window towards my window. When I reached the phone I pulled the number out of my pocket and called up the neighbors.
“Hello sir ”I said when the neighbor picked up
“Hello how goes it?” He responded with an upbeat tone in his voice
“The house I looking good as normal”
“Good to hear”
“Yeah I have been admiring your studio like I had when I was a kid and the four human wax sculptures look amazing”
There was a pause and then my neighbor came back to say in a worried voice.
“Listen when you hang up I want you to go home immediately and call the police. I only have three complete wax sculptures that I have completed not four.”
My heart stopped and my legs almost collapsed under me. I dropped the phone and ran as fast as I could out the door. My body was shacking and all I could think about was something chasing me. I got inside my house and rushed to the phone calling the police. My parents panicked at this and asked me to run over what happened with them again. Two cop cars came flying down the street one into my neighbors drive way and the other to mine. I told them about the wax sculptures and how there was only supposed to be three. They ran over to the neighbor’s house, which quiet a ways because we had such big yards. A half hour later the cops explained that there was no one in the house and there was only three wax statues but the back door to the house had been left open so someone must have fled the scene. My parents were devastated and after a week had gone by and no one was charged my parents insisted we move. I to this day still see the face of the fake statue that once lay but inches from mine in the wax studio.

True it could be boring but think about some syco killer just waiting for you. There that sick to stay perfectly still as you stand in there face just waiting for there time to do whatever sick things they would do to you.

Haha yeah i could have done something like that. The thing that i went with though is that this guy is sick enough to just wait there like hes stalking his prey. I wanted to bring out how sick a serial killer could be. Like a power trip just to stand inchs infront of his prey without reaching out and snatching it. Of course his plan fails but thats what i was going for.
