Cobex...thats really really good! :D
If you'd like to get some drawing of your Wolf on to flash then you can simly scan your pictures of the dogs onto your computer, then save it in a drawing program and then, copy each picture into flash (like you've done) and THEN add one more layer and make sure it's above the layer your wolf is on and you can just re-draw the images.
This way you can edit the frames easily. :)

For awhile now (approx. 2 months) I have been working on a short animation called 'Buzz & Franky'. I have posted a few things here that have been included in the animation. I have recently completed the title animation.
No Preload
Title

I haven't gotten around to making the hair sway as yet, I'm still just trying to get the whole feel and look of the entire animation.

crits would be nice :)

In the daily sketch thread, i have been posting up a picture of a man with his arms outstretched. That imagery has been in my head for 2 days now, so i drew him. Except thats not the only image thats been in my head, the other image is of the same man wrapped in barbed wire, and thats also what i have been working on. i am just doing lines in zig-zag around his body.
I have just completed his arms and when i was transferring one side of the barbs to the other i realised that the two different angles of lines when overlayed on the other created a pattern. So i made a small animation to show the pattern and the lines.
Anyway, here it is.
here
I think it looks kool, wat do you think?

Had a dream the other night. Just tryna animate it and show the world.

Dream

Main focus is the imagery. The lines around him are meant to be the presence of barbed wire.

Flippin' around with my first frontal run cycle, heavy reference from Preston Blair.
The pink one was the original and I then edited it in a second symbol to add a little more weight, resulting in the blue. I still think it looks a little like he's just dancing though, does anyone else see it like that? :ph43r:

(to zorg) wow you've really improved but, I'd work on fixing the cats posture a bit

(to Clink) Wow (again) thats really, really nice, Im not sure if I can give much advice but, I'll try :P The arm movement seems a bit flat, I mean that when you run your arms don't move side to side, they go back (you already knew this) just make the perspective a little more clear and it shall be FLAWLESS! But, thats just me, I like to exagerate things.

a little experiment using weight I did the other day (you'll have to exuse my crappy drawings and lack of inbetweens, it was a hard day and I didn't have alot of energy)

I think what boggle's trying to say is that your dude needs shoulders, CLiNK. With shoulders, you can easily tell which arm is closer to you and which one's further away without having to look at the size of the arm. If you add in shoulders, your cycle should be just about perfect.

Good work,

Your right, I was thinking about shoulders after boggle's post too, I also think I need more emphasis on the forearms and hands (althought the shoulders would do most of it like you said), i.e. - Making them shrink as they fling backward, which will make the perspective seem more clear (like boggle said).

cheers for the comments guys, gives me more drive :bing:

edit:

New exercise tonight...
There's something about midnight that just makes me want to animate lately -

A bit of a weight test, I'm trying to take my walk cycles, etc. to a new level with more of the finer details, this one turned out a little weird, just look at that spine snap! Crappy framerate too

wow good job Clink, only one thing I can say and thats that the legs move a bit to quick when it comes down, maybe an inbetween may fix that or maybe i'm wrong but both ways its good.

CLiNK - The whole cycle kinda floats across the screen. Maybe if you had a slow down of the box near the end of each step, then had the character learn forward before the next step and push begins. Add a bit of resistance, you know what I mean? Right now it looks like a cart on wheels.

I also noticed this same kind of issue with your run cycle, especially the one running from the background into the foreground. The character should leap a little closer with each step, rather than just getting bigger.

I know these things will require much more work in flash, but the payoff would be worth it.

I definitely see what your talking about, I'm not sure where to put the slow down of the box though, I'm thinking on the down motion when the character will have to muster a lot more energy. Oh and I get the run cycle, I was just being lazy :P, you're spot on about the work needed, I'm always subconsciously trying to cut corners, I'm trying to get into that frame of mind where I just take things slow.

And zorg thanks, your right too I think i need an extra inbetween on the passing position.
