I love the use of the texture as the background Nice job. Can't really see the animation though
From i can see it looks very good. Except maybe the very last frames, as the flame bits look like flailing tentacles

yea the tentacles were going to eventually shoot up and start being used as giant legs... So that part is coming, I just had to take a 1 day break on it first. Stay tuned for later tonight |

Listen this is just a place to post the little things, all those little pieces of animaton you start, but never get around to finishing. I have a bad habit with that for sure, and also with school and what not I don't have much time to animate. I try to do what I can though, and thats why I made this thread. There are already activities, experiments, and competitions, this is where you put everthing else. Also in my opinion, it is VERY important to do sketches of random stuff, you can always improve a different angle of a walk cycle, and you can always spend a little time getting a feel for weight, you don't have to turn it in to a blockbuster hit, or even a competition entry. This is simply a place to aquire crtiques on things that have no need for their own thread. |

G'day Y'all! Ok, so, we just started flash animation at school, and the teacher had to teach the beginners the basics, but for the intermediate students.. she gave us a task to complete. Me, being the greatest student of all time as usual started on it right away and i have been working on it for about 3 hours now.Heres the task: Animated machine Imagine a machine that you would like to make – it can be factual – a sausage machine, or an iron ore plant, or fanciful – a machine that makes rainbows. Use the Flash drawing tools to create each of the parts – make sure you add them to the library where relevant and name each symbol. Then use shape and motion tweens as relevant to make the machine move. Ideally you would organise all of this in sets of movieclips so that we can re-jig this for interactivity later. Consider the design of your machine – colours used, shapes and elements and size on the page. Keep your movie in one scene. Hand up your fla file with named layers and library elements. Don’t add any code at this point unless it’s a discreet “stop” in an inner movie. Take your time. This is due in the first week back. My Ideas for possible machines were: 1. Car factory – scrap metal-metal cube-flatten steel-welding-painting-into a store. 2. Toy Factory – Melting old toys-moulding new bodies-attaching parts-painting/clothing-boxing-storing. 3. Weaponry making – Collecting metalàheating/melting metalà moulding- cooling-fitting-war-collecting. 4. Mythological creatures – lining up normal animals-cutting up animals-attaching different animals to each other-testing-sending to earth to reign chaos. And here is my first Machine... The Car Machine crits please There are bugs i know, its 4:50am and I wanna get some sleep. So I will correct it later. Enjoy! byby |

I liked the animation on the second part of the machine where it spits out the cube. It all looks pretty cool to me. Are you gonna add a background at all? ------ Here's a quick walk cycle I did last night, its a bit sketchy because I copied and pasted a lot of frames: Crits? And, here's a kung fu style rotoscope I did last night aswell. It's so much quicker to do with a tablet. Sorry 'bout the file size dial up users - 45kb

I never finish Animations because im so good at getting tierd of it. The main reason i got tierd of it, was because of WoW, i wanted to play it insted of animating, since at that time, wow was funnier. but now that i've given away my wow account and burned the cds, ill start to animate again! So a Tut from you would be awesome, Cel! |
