My first attempt at doing a flash film, didnt go that far with it but still, it was fun :P

Flash short

Background done in Photoshop?

I like the music, creates a good feel, can't wait to see more of it.

The timing on the dude running isnt ready yet.. but over all, do you think it looks right and stuff with the reflection?

I made all the backgrounds with sketchbook pro actually, like that program while using a tablet.

gonna try to get some more work done soon, I hope =)

An animation i did for some fbf contest on sheezyart. I've been having some sort of animators block lately and haven't had any ideas on what to do so...how is it?

Hey! I recognise that! I don't visit the forums here too often, so you're lucky I caught it.

This is Evilagram here, admin of the frame by frame club and judge for the contest. It's a nice piece, but a lot of it looks tweened. I've been accused of tweening in the fbf club before, so I'm not going to say anything.

My only real complaint it that it's a tiny bit bland.

Try to work in your easing, and perhaps use more zoom so you get cleaner lines :3
nice tho

Your stuff rocks my socks, purplecrayon!

I like it! Although, you should try to get smoother lines, unless you're going for a certain...... style...

Here's a character I'm working on. He's gonna be in my next big project. This was a test to see if his eyes moved smoothly.

The Guy

I'm going to give him hands soon, never fear.

Any advice is welcomed. :D

Its looking a bit too much like the madness characters. And i generally don't like over-simplified forms on characters too much. try to add a little diversity and vary it a little. (sorry if it sounds like im trying to shit on your parade)

All, good! Man, I forgot all about those madness things.... <_<

But, he's going to wear clothes and stuff. And his clothes are gonna change in almost every scene. So.... he won't look that simple!

Thanks for the advice!

MY NAFF FLASH! YAAAY I SUCK!

It's what I've got so far for a series of shorts. Thing is I have no ideas for my shorts (Yeah, I suck)

Any ideas? Because I have none lol...absolutely none... :yfok:

It was actually quite smooth! Nice!

Well.... You really should think up the shorts yourself, otherwise it's not really your project. But maybe if you gave us more of an idea of what you're going for, perhaps a certain setting or something for each one?

Yup, good luck! :D

PS- I'm sure I've seen that sig somewhere before...... I can't think where though...

PPS- Woah, 1,111 posts before mine!

PPPS- And 24, 500 views!

Cool muffinlord. That's really good for a first try, and that's a hard angle to animate too. I'm not sure but it looks like you used tweens, my advice would be to sort of abandon this method unless you are looking for a certain effect. Do you own a wacom tablet? If so, I think you might find it quicker to just draw each frame. The advatages of frame by frame work are usually worth any extra work anyway.

Again, not sure if you have seen any of this but give these pages a read:
AIM Animation Notes - Walkcycles
Walkcycles samples

I've posted this a few times but I learned to animate walks using the Preston Blair method shown in the second link and sometimes refer back, it's good stuff. There's loads of things that you can do to improve but that should get you started. Forgive me if the tweening was what you wanted. :D

Yeah thanx for the links, it is tweened but that is the only way i could think of doing it, i havent read anything on walk cycles before so i will. tweening it made it look rough as guts, cheers.

i think it would be cool if you'd draw like a dude falling real fast towards the camera in a box in the upper corner(in the time there ain't a splash), just a little extra^^
but I do like the water splash a lot
