Nice stuff Calco very well done, all tho I held down he up key for a little too long it wasn't doing anything and then BANG! I lost me car :(, but I got it back. It has a lot of pull on it tho, meaning you press down once very quickly and it will keep going that way same with all directional keys SO I found it very fun to hold as many keys as possible have it flying around then try and get it to a stand still quite amusing for awhile. Great work calco, how much coding did you have to learn for that? |

Here's the code for that car thing:
In the code, "car" is the instance name of the movie clip (the car), so if you copy that exactly name your objects instance name 'car'. If you give it a different instance name, change the code too. |

I just made this very short, very low detailed free running animation. It's kinda jerky since I haven't fully in-betweened it, but you get the general idea. I've decided that every day (or as often as I can manage) I should post new animations here, to get some idea of how good I am. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c188/ava...andomshorts.swf |

In the second of this series, I decided to have two characters instead of one, but without any need for background scrolling. In fact, each one in the series will have one more character than the last. Anyways, this is a scene of stickmen in a dojo fighting with sticks. I spent about 20 seconds drawing the background but instead put alot more work into inbetweening it for smoothness. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c188/ava...ndomshorts2.swf |

Right on, stickywicky! Sorry you got ignored, bud. It reminds me of the menu at the end of the brackenwood movies... you know--- the one with the spider? The squeal noise when the text went static was especially hair-raising. ![]() If you wanted to spook things up even more, you could make the spectre's exit a little more abrupt and sudden. As it is, he sort of ambles off harmlessly. Maybe he'd jump right at the camera, or leap upwards into the light. Keep on playing with the frightening factors, too, you seem to have the palette for those! |

First you have to upload it to a website such as Photobucket or Image Shack, then you can copy the url from there. When you post, click the "http://" button and paste your url to your animation there. Hit ok, and it should pop up again. This time, give it a name like "Click here" or "My animation". Hit ok again. Now a big jumble of words and letters should appear in the box where you type. Hit "Preview post below. Click on the link you've just created. It should open another window, and take you to your animation page. Close that window when you're done with it, and go back to your original window. Hit "Add Reply" down the bottom. Your animation should then be up on the thread, for other people to view! I just made an animation of a sword slashing. Sword Please comment. |

That's really cool! How long have you been animating? When he jumps off the wall in the start, I think you need to add a few frames. At the moment he seems to disappear in the middle of his jump. Good job! |

I enjoyed it cantdraw. Do you mind if I crit some areas? Nothing too major. In the darkened hall. When the mouse is walking through the shadows in the hall, it looks like he is beneath the shadows. The shadows should wrap slightly over the mouse's body as he walks from the dark into the light. The swimming bit How come we can see the bottom of the sink but not the mouse when he is swimming? Opening the fridge door. It would be cool to see a beam of light track along the floor as he opens it then increase the bightness for the cut to inside the fridge. Picking up the grape. The sense of weight was good here, but it also looks like the grape is stuck to the floor of the fridge, and if one or 2 more frames were added to the lifting of the grape it would probably fix that. but still it looks well. There may be a few others but I cant really remember. The cat is pretty cool, and i like the smokey tentales and I like the end frame of the mouse in the stomach. I liked it a lot dude, and for 1 week it is pretty impressive. Minor tweaks could make it even better, but it is a great start.
