KIDNEY HARVEST:

The legend starts when a traveling buisness man goes to a bar for a drink at the end of the work day. A lady spots the weary traveler, and walks up to him as he sits alone at the bar and offers to buy him a drink. The next thing the buisness man knows is he is sitting in a hotel bath tub, his body submerged up to his neck in ice. Being drugged from the drink in the bar. The buisness man looks around and notices a note taped to the wall, and a phone on a small table next to the bathtub. The note instructs him to call 911 and to not get out of the bath tub. The business traveler picks up the phone and dials 911. The 911 operator, who has become quite familiar with this crime, instructs the man to slowly reach around to his back and feel if there is a tube protruding out. The business man feels the tube and tells the operator that there is one. The 911 operator the man to remain still, not to move at all. Telling him the paramedics are on their way to help. The operator knows that both of the business traveler's kidneys have been harvested. And for him to get out of the tub would kill him.

*holds sides* Noone's touchin' my kidneys!!!!

You say this was a true story Kairi... But who was the tragic victum? This is why i don't want to go drinking with alone with woman that hits on me and tries to buy me a drink when she could just give me money to buy the drink. But this is also a good story Kairi. This is like a proffesion for you. Where did that woman get all that ice?

you can get ice from gas stations well atleast the ones near me they go for $1 a bag and there's like a big outside freezer full of em so it wouldn'nt be that hard to get that much ice.

True true, that's what I was thinking when I read about it...but I think that's what the tube is for, to keep him alive...why else would there be a tube in his back?

AHHH!!! :gasp: :gasp: :gasp: OMG!!!! ^_^

hmm.....here's one!!! This tale has been told many times...has anyone else heard it before?

OH, SUSSANA

There were two roommates (yes, I know, another college story), Sarah and Megan. Sarah was the theatrical type and loved acting. She was in all the town's plays. Megan was more of a book person, she loved to read and her studies were her first priority.

Anyway, there was a huge play called "Oh, Susanna" that Sarah was in, and it was coming up on Saturday... so every chance that Sarah got, she would practice in the park (that's where she got her inspiration) for hours. Every time, she would beg Megan to go with her, but Megan would stay in the dorm and read.

Well, on Saturday Sarah was a hit. Being the star, she was detained after the play, and got home really late. As she entered, she heard her roommate's rocking chair squeaking in the corner, but couldn't see it, not all the lights were on. Must be waiting for me, Sarah thought. Putting her stuff away, she went back into the main room.

From the corner came a voice. It sounded rather husky, but that wasn't what agitated Sarah.

"Oh, Susanna, don't you cry for me..." came the voice.

"Stop it Megan! Don't give me that crap, okay?" said Sarah.

"Oh, Susanna, don't you cry for me..."

"Stop!"

"Oh, Susanna, don't you cry for me..."

"Stop it! I mean it, Meg!"

"Oh, Susanna, don't you cry for me..."

Did You Know?

Before the term "urban legend" became popular, folklorists often called tales like this "migratory legends" because they tend to pop up in different places with localized details. The legend retold here is a hometown variant of "The Roommate's Death," which dates back to the 1960s.

"Stop!!!!! That's it!!!!" Sarah screamed as she flicked on the room's lights.

Sarah gawked in horror at the sight. Her roommate's body was in the rocking chair, but her head wasn't, her head was on the wall, kept there by a butcher knife. From behind the rocking chair she could hear laughter – maniacal laughter.

"Who's there? Who are you????"

From behind the rocking chair jumped a man, later found out to be the butcher that escaped from the sanitarium in the next town. All the time he was cutting Sarah, he was singing, over and over, "Oh, Susanna, don't you cry for me... I come from Alabama with a banjo on my knee."

Pinning Sarah to the wall next to her roommate's head, he screamed, "Now, Susanna, don't you cry for me!!!!"
