First:OK, sorry if this is already done, but I coudn't find anything in the forum. So if there is a topic about this already, please note. Second: This is a list of errors I found between the image grid (on the forum) and between the dictionary. I will do this by writing the Sarus word first, the image grid meaning second and the dictionary word third. Like this: [Sarus word] _ [image grid meaning] _ [ dictionary meaning] [code number for the type of error comited rdm _ new, young _ young For reference I use the dictionary from here: http://www.biteycastle.com/525/engSarus.htm Third: I will note every little difference, mayor or minor. I will also attach the code system, becuse I am not sure that I can finish this up. That means that somebody else might want to do it, please use the code system for clarity. Here we go. rdm _ new, young _ young (c3, mdr = new) rms _ house, home, shelter _ house, home (c1) rsf _ now _ know (c2) rlf _ valuable _ breeze (c5) Rtm _ hot _ heat (c4) mrr _ have, possess, hold, own _ have, own (c1) mrs _ head, top _ face, head, top (c1) (at the Me So part) sml _ move _ move (should be msl, c2) fdr _ boring _ bore (c6) flr _ waste, rubbish _ gale (c5) fts _ together _ together, with (c1) sml _ break _ break, origin (c3 or c5, depending on whether the dictionary or the imnage grid is correct as origin is also at lft) ssd _ confident, bold _ confident (c1) str_ mind_ ghost, spirit, soul (c4) stt _ alone, sinlge _ alone (c1) lmd _ baby, infant _ infant (c1 and/or c3, debated) (at the "starting with La Fa") sml _ start, beginning, origin _ lft _ start, beginning, origin _ beginning (c2, as there seems to be a mixup with sml in the dictionary) ("starting with Ti Do") sml _ drink _ drink (c2, again with the sml mixed up) tmt _ air _ air, sky (c1) tfs _ brain _ mind, brain (c1) tsm _ stop, stay, wait _ stop, stay (c1, as "wait" would be evident when you are not moving) tst _ earth _ earth, ground, land (c1) tlm _ persue, chase, seek _ persue, chase, seek, hunt (c1) ttd _ hope _ hopeful (c6) c1= Code 1 = Lazy to add alternative meaning or alternative meaning not in dictionary, does not need to be corrected. c2= Code 2 = Typo, needs to be corrected. c3= Code 3 = Additional meaning that already exists, needs to be corrected. c4= Code 4 = Most likely mixed up the meaning while doing the image grid, needs to be corrected. c5 = Code 5 = Totally different meaning that is not in the dictionary at all (either only meaning or alternative), needs to be corrected. C6= Code 6 = the word is affixed, needs to be corrected ("bore" is not the same as "boring", as "bore would only become "boring" if there is a present participle before it, ie "ll fdr" (boring) and "fdr" (bore). Note: I am not doing this to critisise or to make fun of Sarus or subletly point out that Adam is a lazy [insert offensive and negative property here]. I am doing this becuse I had a few misuderstandings while using the dictionary with someone who uses the image grid. I will update this topic, either by editing this post or doing further posts down. I acsully want to help Adam here, by pointing out the errors so he can merely look them up and correct them. EDIT NOTE: Holy mother upun the heaven, please balance my karma towards positive for this. I am done. Please post if there is an error that I missed or you think that an error is not an error. |

AFAIK the grid is outdated, I think they date back from when Sarus was still B525, "Sarus" is the second incarnation of "B525". Changes have been made in the dictionary since then. *edit* nevermind... |

hey Zix, thanks for doing all this.. don't worry, I might not have replied (I know I should have) but I really appreciate the work you've done. When I get some more time I'll go through and fix any discrepancies that I - or anyone else - finds. Thanks again

while were looking out for typos and errors, I've noticed the lack of a word... maybe its just me, but while writing the message "I cannot live without you" I was surprised to find there was no "without"... in the end, my message now reads "I cannot live apart from you" so I guess it works out, but like I said, I find "without" to be somewhat common |

Lack of words are not errors or typos. You have to be creative with Sarus. |

that's right.. you do need to be creative with Sarus. However "without" does exist in the Sarus dictionary.. with / together: fts without / apart: stf |

found some time to do a little bit of work on Sarus, but didn't get much done before work reared its ugly head again. It's going to be a slow gradual process :\ |
