OK, this is a quick story told to me by a friend. He stated that is is not a true story so i repeat NOT A TRUE STORY. As it goes, a beutiful young college student who shall be called April was a bit of a tom boy. She claimed that she was not afraid of anything. Saying such things at a college is sure to raise challenges. One day, a group of students in one of her classes told her a local legend of Mr. Simmons. back in the 60's Simmons went mad and killed his wife and children and then commited suicide. It was said that if you went to his grave and disturbed it in the slightest way, he would rise and drag you down to Hell. Being the sceptic that she was, April gladly accepted the challenge. The event was set to take place after a local party. To enjoy the night, April bought a gorgeous, long, red, dress. She appeared at the party and enjoyed a fun night of drinking and dancing. As the hours waned, she and the fellow participants left quietly and drove to the graveyard. Upon their arrival, April was given a shining new butcher knife. Puzzeled, she asked what the knife was for. The leader of the group stated the she was to walk out and find the grave marked "C. Simmons" which was tucked away at the northeast corner of the cemetary and plunge the knife into the grave. Hesitant, but still not willing to give in, she began walking. The others stayed behind. The next few minitues seemed to go by quickly dispite the creepy feeling. She found the grave, stood above it, slamed the knife down into the dark cold earth, and stood again. She waited. Everything was silent. Nothing went wrong. Pleased with herself, she turned around and tried to walk away. I say tried because, to her horror, she could not move. The next morning, police were on scene. They were leading a investigation which told a simple ending. April had slammed the knife into her dress. In the struggle to pull free of whatever vengeful spirit had ahold of her, she slipped on the grass and cracked her head on the gravemarker. Thanks for reading. I would love to hear any comments |
