Here's another dandy from the the same friend who told me the " Old Simmon's grave" story. (i've got a bunch from him). As it goes, Peter awoke one morning feeling groggy and hungover. So he went into the bathroom to take some advil. He opened up the medicine cabinate and grabed the bottle. He then felt a stange sensation of numbness on his right hand. He looked down and saw in indescibible horror that large, bulbous, eye was covering his palm. Peter snapped his hand back and tried in vain to shake the abomination loose. He shut his eyes and whispered softly to himself, "your just hallucinating... calm down and when you open your eyes again, that thing will be gone". Then, before he opened his eyes, he saw colors dancing around his retinas in the dark. They began to take shape and he saw a man. He was staring at himself. He moved the blighted hand and saw the image move to. He shuttered. As quickly as he could, he wrapped up the hand in gauze without tring to look at the eye. Considering the fact that peter now had an eye growing out of his hand, he tried to have a normal day. He even had regained some feeling in his palm, and only prayed that the problem would fix itself. Later, he went to his friend Davids house for a few drinks, as he had promised yesterday. They talked for a few minutes and then David offered his old friend a drink. Going through what he had been, Peter could not decline. David left the room for the kitchen. Peter thought this would be a good time to check his hand. He slowly removed the guaze, careful not to tear it should David walk back in and he would need to wrap it quickly again. His hand looked normal. Though, on the horizontal crease of his palm, there was a red line. He moved his hand closer to his face to get a close look. Suddenly, the eye snapped open and Peter screamed. As though something had overcome him, he fell to the floor in agonizing pain that spred through his body. David ran in. but as he tried to lift Peter up, the hand grabbed the letter opener on the near table and stabed him. There Peter stood. There Peter stood. Covered with blood as his friend lie dead with 7 puntures to the chest. He knew that the eye had done this. It made him violent and murderous. He cleaned up, hid the body, and ran out after wiping the fingerprints off the places he had touched. When he got home he went to the garage and collected several pieces of wood. He went inside and lit a fire. After tending to it until it was as hot as could be. He jammed his hand into the red ash below. And kept it there until it was completetly charred. He wrapped his hand and went to sleep. When Peter woke the next morning, he went into the bathroom, undressed to take a shower, and saw 6 or 7 eyes of various size on his chest. There was only one thought in his mind. If he could hold the shotgun steady, mabey... |
