I know everyone and their grandmother has some idea for creating names, but I think the best way to handle names is to just let people choose their own, or have them be given by the srs community. That's how it's done in ASL (American Sign Language), your name is traditionally given to you BY the deaf community. It makes more sense than having an entire sentence (Direct translation of meaning of name) for a name, and it gives users a bit more freedom in choosing a name that sounds good IN srs, as many english-translated names would not sound very nice, or would be too long. What do you guys think? |

I agree, that's how I chose my name anyway. It makes more sense than 'Oh my first name means this, but this word isn't in Sarus but this one is etc.'. -Someti Doloro Dormifi |
