In my Grandmother's House; True story...

My Aunt Sheila, then age 12, was staying over at my grandmother's house on the first floor (long before I was born). From where she slept on to the bathroom, she had a clear line of sight to the living room. One night, she got up to pee, and screamed when she saw a very strange sight. She saw perfectly my great grandparents (her grandparents, who had long been dead), sitting around the dining room table, and fainted.

Now, you may think that it was just a nightmare during sleep walking, but the story gets better. When my grandparents, then woken up by the scream, asked her what she saw, my grandmother had a look of shock on her face. Upstairs in her bed, she had just dreamed the exact same scene that my Aunt Sheila saw downstairs.

Spooky, eh?

That is spooky.

I wonder why people see dead relatives, I mean these type of stories are common but at the same time ist spooky. But why do dead relatives return into the living world again for a short vist?

Well, of course it could be true. It could also be a nice story to tell, made up, but I don't know your family; That's for you to decide. What I do know, is that when my grandmother died (I was 4 years old), my sister couldn't get over it. She'd see my grandmother in the room and scream for my parents. She'd see her everywhere. It might aswell have been something like that.

The odds of your grandmother dreaming that are slim, yes, but dreaming is done in 4 to 8 seconds. At the moment of the scream, she might still have been half asleep. In this second, she might have dreamed what she unconciously thought what was going on, to walk downstairs and fight out that what she assumed actually happened. Like I said, tricky theorie.

A lot is possible. It might aswell have been your grandparents. Just don't believe everything you hear. :)

A lot of times it isnt actually the ghosts of these people but rather an impression left by the spirit, knowing that the great-grandparents were sitting around the table is a large sign of an impression and your aunt possibly just caught a glimpse of it.

Then at the same time it could be a projection of the grandmother's dream, or even that she was remembering a routine and dreaming about that routine as the impression was taking place.

Any number of things really but it very rarely is ghosts or paranormal activity. Just as spike stated above, there has to be some unfinished business, and i really doubt that business would be to frighten a young lady.

It is shocking none the less when it happens, even though it is not paranormal, it certaintly isnt daily routine for the living to see the dead just sitting there like they used to!
