Because English is my first language then yes, it's based heavily on English. There are however some differences, mainly to do with economising Sarus, but you can learn all this as you go.

The first official Sarus lessons are now online (Click the link in my sig) and there are more on their way. Start with those and you'll be gradually introduced to Sarus in a way that makes learning easy.

  • Symbols: The Solresol stenographic symbols ( :1: :2: :3: :4: :5: :6: :7: ) are not used in Sarus. Since developing the septaglyphs, I find those symbols have become quite cumbersome and awkward to use.
  • Numbers: Yes there is a system for dealing with numbers in Sarus. You'll learn about this soon on the
    Sarus Lessons pages.
  • Names: not yet. For now, you can insert a name into Sarus like this: red mifum Jack - my name is Jack

Welcome to the forum, btw :)

all the links in this forum have been updated, so yep they're the most recent, so you can use them.. if you've found a discrepancy anywhere, please let me know :)

Here's some Weekly Lessons to ease you into learning Sarus. I'll be adding a new lesson each week from now on, and there's 4 lessons already there.

whilst going through the lessons you introduced "k". I get it's concept and how's used, but how are you supposed to pronounce it? is just like a "k" sound or is like the "uh" sound or "e" ?(except the e supposed to be upside down, don't know how to do that :D )

Yep 'k' is a consonant that replaces the second 'r'.. not a vowel. It's just the ordinary 'k' sound like in "black"
The pronunciation I've listed in THIS page and the pronunciation columns in each lesson is phonetic.. so they sound like they're spelled.

Zix, the examiner (and the MatchMaker) uses an XML dictionary which isn't updated yet. Also, the examiner only tests you on 3-syllable words, and now that Sarus is well and truly into 4-syllables, the examiner will probably need to be recreated from scratch.
