In english and spanish for example, it is:
I
you
he, she, it
we
you
they

So in sarus it should be:
I=dr
you=dm
he, she, it=df
we=ds
you=dl
they=dt

But instead it is:
I=dr
you=dm
he, it=df
she=ds
they=dl
we=dt

That's why I asked if there was a "ds", because I thought it should be "we".

So is "you" (in the meaning of many people) also called "dm"? Like "All you out there"= "rsr dm tds lm"
Or is everything completely wrong?

Hope you understand what I mean :P

Thanks. I've always liked languages so I think it is very interesting with Sarus :) It's interesting that you can express it in so many ways. It would be a great code-language :P

EDIT: Do you write "srs" when you say "sarus"? Wouldn't "srs" be pronounced "sorus" instead of "sarus"? Can you write words that are pronounced, for example like "dat" or "dato"? Words like that don't exist in sarus right?
I also wonder how you type the schwa :P

the only important characters in a sarus word are the syllables: d r m f s l t

so you can pronounce "srs" any way you like, as long as it's unmistakeably s - r - s.

This means that:
Sorus, Sarus, Serious, shears, sirius, scars.. all mean "language", because once you've removed the 'non-sarus' characters, you have just 'srs' remaining :)

I chose the word Sarus after looking at the alternatives, and to me it seemed to be the best one.

Ok, I thought that when you pronounce "srs" you have to say "sorus" because it is "so-re-so" and then the second syllable is pronounced like "uh" so it is "so-ruh-so" and then you take away the last vocal of the last syllable so it is "so-ruh-s" or "sorus". But you mean that this isn't a rule? Because when I looked at the pronounciation chapter of learning sarus, I didn't see that you could pronounce it in another way. :lol:

That's Adam for you. (No offence intended Adam :lol:)

I'm sure that Adam will probably not confirm this, but the last time i checked, saurus is still going through development...

Or is it now finalised?

<_< I take it you're saying I'm unreliable and my rules are contradictory.. However! when I say you can use whatever letters you like, I mean in writing. For pronunciation, the rules in the "Pronunciation" lessons are pronunciation rules.

Sorry for the confusion Dabbur.. but be sure to read all of the stuff in the Lessons pages. Most beginner concepts are explained there. In the Pronunciation Chapter, it states that those rules are for spoken Sarus:

Sarus Pronunciation Chapter

Spelling Sarus words

You’ll notice throughout these lessons that the Sarus words contain various combinations of vowels amongst the consonant syllables.

It’s important to note that these vowels are inconsequential to the meaning! Remember that the language is based on the solfege syllables D R M F S L T, and so they alone are the important parts of the word, and essential for correct translation.

Therefore, “remitur” means the same as raemytir, romutar or even rhymethehour. Each of those words contain the exact same Sarus syllables in the same order: RMTR. The vowels in a word are merely padding.

It’s most important that you get the Sarus syllables correct, because this is the skeleton of the word, which translates to colour, melody and hand signals, as you'll see in a later lesson.

So you're right.. in spoken Sarus, it's so-ruh-s.. but for the name of the language, I pronounce it Sa-ruh-s
