Well since you posted this in debates and commentary, I suppose its okay that I comment on it. This is beautifully written, and in an ideal world, would be as beautiful as it sounds. Yet...what happens when these raves steal away a best friend? What happens when one becomes so obsessed with the lifestyle that they put it before absolutely everything else? Family, friends...the very dreams that you had before your first rave... What happens to the manifesto then? When "Hey this weekend we're meeting with an old friend we haven't seen in years..." recieves the responce "I can't, I have a rave to go to..." Or better yet "Yeah, I'll be there this weekend." Really leaves you waiting for hours, because they just couldn't leave the party? What about the drugs that make you not sleep, or eat for 3 days out of the week....and then the other 4 days you're sick and pratically dead to the world? If the concept turly is love, freedom and peace...then how can one living the lifestyle hurt and worry others in such a way? There is my challange to this manifesto. |
