Who else is a huge Stephen King fan here. Which of his books do you like and dont like, and why? I know his style is, either you love them, or you don't theres really no happy middle, so lets hear about them. Me, I think my favorites would be The Dark Tower saga, Though i have yet to finish it, the story of the last gunslinger, chasing down his enemy, drawing together the three he needs, all the danger he faces against spirit animals, and gangs in worn out old cities, theres just so many different worlds rolled into one, that theres something for everyone in it. Another if mine would be Thinner. A man Cursed by an old gypsy man for running his wife over, while is own wife is giving him road head. Thats the kind of twisted thing you would expect from King. And everything he goes through to track down the old man and get the curse removed, while constantly losing weight to the point of being nothing but skin and bones and nearly dieing... Stephen King just has a way of writing that keeps me on the edge of my seat not wanting to go to sleep at night if im reading one of his books just cause i want to see whats going to happen next. So lets hear it, what are some of your favorites, or what are some you hate. Tell us about um, a brief description of the book but nothing to spoil the whole story, and why you like or dislike his style of writing. |

I really enjoyed the novel Cell, but the ending was kins of iffy, really anti-climatic. |

I'm reading the Dark Tower series atm. I'm on to Song of Susannah, bout halfway through. I really love the blending of old and new in the series, how you get this worn out technology but you also get old west style gunslingers. And the feeling you get of worlds merging, especially in the later books is just awesome. I was also really impressed with how Stephen King has managed to mix in loads of his other works, some playing greater parts than others. I just think its epic. |

A classic: "IT" Scared the child in me for years. "Misery" was very good too. I really enjoyed the movies. "IT" was better as a book, though. |
