Character Name: Mikhail ‘Stryker’ Quinn Age: 19 Species: Nephilim Job: Shop Attendant Relationships: The only current relationship Stryker has is with his employer. Family: Father- Zurikel Mother- Shayla Quinn [deceased] Adoptive father- Lachlan Cray [deceased] Adoptive mother- Luna Cray [deceased]  Physical Description: As his name implies, Stryker is quite the handsome character, but it is his flaws that make him so. His mother was not the most attractive looking woman, but her character boldened her appearance. Stryker inherited his father’s divine perfection alongside his mothers ‘flawed’ characteristics. He has long black hair that reaches just past his shoulders. His hair is thick closer to his head and thins out the longer it grows. He secretly pays attention to his mane more than anything else of his physical appearance. He isn’t naturally fit, although gifted with strength; Stryker has to work especially hard to refine his natural abilities. His training at the local combat school has moulded a toned and muscular body. He is tall and skinny, standing 6’1” tall. He has some androgynous traits, such as the femininity of his hands. Although well proportioned, one can’t help but notice the delicate smoothness of his hands. He has small but attractive eyes, gray in color. He can speak volumes with just his eyes alone, something that is natural to him. This feature often merits dumbfounded response in people, both men and women. Thus Stryker often looks down or to the side. He tries his best to limit eye contact, which can also have a poor effect. He doesn’t like to do this because he feels it is disrespectful when speaking to someone. His mouth is full and just as captivating as his eyes. With the right expression, Stryker can look innocent or menacing with just a simple twist of his lips. His jaw is a bit too bold for his face, but these human qualities add to his overall appearance. Personality: Stryker is not your typical loner. He does keep to himself most of the time, but he is not without his confidence. He is a strong individual; both in physical and mental aspects, but his emotional needs are poorly met. He grew up blessed to with adoptive parents, but after their deaths he retreated from anything that was of value to him. He tends to bury his pain, hiding behind a stoic mask. He doesn’t talk much, but that doesn’t mean he has nothing to say. He is actually quite intelligent, his brains stemming from his love for books. Most of time his free time is spent reading. His adoptive father also taught Stryker to never discriminate which source knowledge is found, therefore encouraging Stryker to be humble and respectful. Stryker chooses not to socialize on account of the deaths of his mother, adoptive parents and his father’s absence. He’s too afraid to get close to anyone, he fears losing another person dear to him. For some reason he believes he is cursed, being the offspring of an angel and human makes his case more distinct for him. He feels he has no real place. Stryker does not dwell on the past or the circumstances of his birth; instead he tries to live life normally. He will not admit his pain to anyone, for the past few years he’s even denied it to himself. Despite all his loss, Stryker still manages to be a compassionate individual. He holds true to his values and principles, especially those of his adoptive parents. He believes in the equality of everyone, the importance of living together in harmony and the care of those less fortunate. These virtues were what his parents were all about leading them to adopt Stryker after his mother died. Skills: As the son of a warrior angel, Stryker inherited a few abilities from his father. The most prominent ability is his keen sense of danger. Stryker can detect malicious intent moments before attack. He can sense danger whether or not it is directed at him. He refers to his ability as ‘spider vision’. Even though it aids him a great deal, his power does come with some restrictions. He can only sense danger in approximately 50 yard radius. Unlike his father’s power Stryker cannot see what is coming, only that danger is near. After going to a combat school for 11 years, Stryker knows the basics of fighting. He excels in speed, but his strength is his downfall, because he has not yet mastered his enormous strength he might under calculate the amount of strength needed in certain situations. Stryker continues to focus his strength daily. History: Stryker was born, Mikhail Quinn to Shayla Quinn and a warrior angel named Zurikel after a brief love affair. Stryker’s name is actually a reference used by his father. When he was a baby, Zurikel came to visit Shayla after their son was born and told her that Mikhail was quite the striker. Shayla then nick named her son Stryker, because it would be the last time she would see Zurikel. Shayla was always a frail girl. Giving birth to a Nephilim proved to be too strong a task. She became very ill after having Stryker and could not last until her son’s birthday. When Shayla passed away, Stryker was immediately placed under the care of an orphanage where he lived a few years before being adopted by the Cray’s. It was at the orphanage that Stryker learned of true cruelty. He was often teased and tortured for being the offspring of an angel and human. It was there that he vowed never to be weak on account of his heritage. He would be a fighter like his father before him. After the Cray’s adopted him, he was once again happy. The Cray’s being an older couple with no children of their own, shared all their love with their new son. They taught him to always be kind and gentle. After much consideration, they agreed to place Stryker in the local combat training school, with one thing in mind, that Stryker use what he learned for protecting. Lachlan reminded Stryker daily the price of violence against another, only agreeing to the whole thing because it was the only request Stryker made. Two days before Stryker turned 17, he got pulled out of school. The headmaster bearing news that the Cray’s were killed in a horrible accident. The price of violence. The news said that the building the Cray’s were in collapsed killing everyone in it. Stryker later learned that his adoptive parents were actually caught up in the warfare of two unknown parties. To this day Stryker continues to hunt those responsible and each day he comes closer to discovering the truth. Edited by Ongaku, Dec 14 2008, 11:13 PM.
