Character Name: Asert Syre Age: True age is unknown to him but he estimates it to be about 200-300 years, young by Phoenix standards. In humanoid form he appears to be early 20s. Species: Phoenix Job: None, as the need for finical support/benefit is a rarity. He is an explorer and would hesitate to let a job lock him into a given location. Relationships: Due to his traveling nature, he has met many people on his journeys but not maintained many lasting relationships. Family: He has not met his parent and has no means of knowing if he has siblings. As is Phoenix tradition, one time when his parent rose from its ashes it toke some of the remaining ash and formed an egg; this egg was left alone to hatch. He hopes to find his parent one day and that his parent will want to meet him. Physical Description: His body appears as a brilliant blue, flaming form of a large bird. His touch does not incinerate except when he wishes. His body appears to continually pulsate as the flames shift in a dancing type fashion. When he assumes a humanoid form the form he most often takes is an average height (5’ 10”), slim, pale man. He has messy semi-short blue hair (resembling the color of his flame). His eyes shine the same color with a hidden illumination that can be seen when someone looks directly into them. Personality: He loves to explore and can hardly resist the chance to explore a new area. He secretly dreams of exploring the whole world (though he knows that would be nearly impossible he plans to get as close as he can). He likes to go into long periods of solitude and will remain in his natural form during these periods (and often find a nice hiding spot with an excellent view). When feeling sociable, he assumes his humanoid form (that he most often uses) and explores a more populace area. He also loves to tell stories and does not seem to have much trouble attracting and charming a crowd. He tells mostly fable-like stories and many he has fabricated himself. When in this form (that being when his mood is such), he is friendly and kind. He hates to see anyone hurt and he has a general peaceful nature. He studies and collects objects with unusual marking and strange symbols whenever he can. (This interest mostly like arose from always wanting to check rare symbols to see if they matched his birth marking.) Skills: He has the Phoenix nature abilities including strong healing powers and tears that can heal nearly any wound. He has limited ability to shape his form. He can create flame and intensify his own when in his natural form. He possess a high intelligence and can learn new skills quickly as well as recall locations with ease. When in his humanoid form, he is prone to injury (as he doesn’t have strong physical skills when in his transformation). History: He hatched from an egg inside a cave. When he hatched, he discovered a birth marking that was left by his parent. Although he has learned that parent/children relationships aren’t typical of his species, he hopes to one day meet his parent. During the early part of his life he stayed close to his nest in the cliffs and would occasionally meet another Phoenix and learned about his kind. One day he flew high into the clouds and discovered a city there. He observed the city and its residents. He knew that if he could travel in the city he find more books than the limited few he had found in odd places. He began to practice shape-shifting so that he could resemble some of the creatures he saw walking about. After years of practice, he mastered his shifting and was able to walk in the city. He began researching symbols to find his birth marking as well as other subjects that caught his interest. He also became fascinated with stories and tales he found in a few books and with different places he read about. After a while passed, he began to explore new regions and study at the towns and cities near them. He always loved his travels. One day when he was flying around the Icelands, he saw a spot where the sunlight glistened over the entire area that could be seen. It was the most magnificent thing he had ever seen before. At that moment, he knew he want to see all of the wonderful sights there are. |
