Character Name: Has never had to consider a name before but after some thought has decided upon "Lumus" Age: As old as Ris'mos minus the few seconds it took for the element to come together and form the consciousness that would govern it for all time. Species: Elemental (Light) Job: To maintain the balance of Ris’mos Relationships: All elementals have a unique bond with the others one that could be misinterpreted as love or companionship. The bond is more than any other mind could begin to comprehend, closeness, understanding, need. The balance of the elements is directly represented by their relationships with one another. Family: N/A Physical Description: The light elemental has only taken human form twice before. In their natural state the elemental is perceived by human eyes as a mass of blinding light but is in fact so much more than this and is in a sense. All light. In their human form they appear as a humanoid shape constructed entirely of light not blinding to look at but bright enough that the features can be hard to distinguish. The elemental has no gender and so none is represented in their gender. Despite the fact the other elementals are able to take on any form. Male or female. It is worth noting that their voice is very soft and seems to “float” in the air. Personality: The light elemental is a much calmer and logical being compared to the others. Their personalities again reflect their element. The elemental of light can come across as distant or cold. This is due to much stronger sense of distance from solid beings compared to the other elementals. Skills: The Light elemental by its very nature can control light in anyway it so chooses. It can bring light to dark areas or remove light from lighter areas. It can use light as a weapon both to blind and burn as well in more devastating releases of energy. The gift and curse of being made entirely of light is by its very nature the elemental can appear anywhere at anytime where ever there is light. They are there. The curse that comes with such power of omnipresence is that even in humanoid form this elemental can never be “solid”. While the other elementals can become solid apparitions and directly interact with people, objects and the environment, the light elemental can never do these things. It can never form a solid state existing always as light. This is what gives rise to their emotional distance from the other creatures of Ris’mos. History: The Elementals were formed in the same instance that Ris’mos itself was created. In that first unimaginable display of power that created a whole world. So another unimaginable act occurred as the elements came together and formed a consciousness to govern over them for time immemorial. These beings were formed solely from the element that they govern. Formed in the same instance was the connections between them and the dynamic relations that if altered could shatter the very world that created them to watch over it. The elementals exist in silence at the plains where they were created watching and governing the world in ways that no-one could begin to imagine. The famous scientist Einstein once theorized that if you knew the momentum of every particle in the universe you could then go on to predict their interactions. In essence and on a cosmic scale you could predict the future. The elementals between them know the moment of every single atom on Ris’mos and in doing so can see what they consider to be “the future”. There is however one thing that can never be accounted for through mathematical derivatisation and that is human nature, or more appropriately in this case “in-human” nature. As such this foresight is constant flux however due to the inexplicable nature of life there are events that exist in every future and the act of living simply skews this foresight rather than changing it completely. Only once has this image become so distorted that it threatened the very existence of Ris’mos. This was the first time any elemental took humanoid form to directly interact with the beings of this world to ensure its continued existence. The elementals will not interact in this worlds affairs unless it is deemed absolutely essential instead they watch and play their part as the guardians making sure the other parts go according to the script. Only taking human form when the players deviate too far from their paths … |
