Okay, here's the idea I'd like to run by you all and see if anyone's interested:
What about doing an RP topic all "Noir" style, like those corny detective movies and over-dramatic graphic novels? B)
The plot wouldn't have to really tie into the plotlines of any characters involved (or it could, if that's what people wanted). The point would be to have cheesy, different, crazy-mad RP fun! An example of a "Noir" style would be something like this:

It was quiet. Too quiet.
He walked down the darkened alleyway, the light flickering like those of a rundown bar. Mice scattered, squeaking their protest at the intruder.
He wasn't the only intruder that had walked this way...
The night was hotter than a rottweiler basking in the sun - the kind of summer night that would even make the devil himself sweat bullets.
At least those bullets wouldn't have been lethal. If he had known what cards fate had dealt him, maybe he wouldn't have walked that way. Or maybe he would have. If there was one thing for sure, there was no cheating fate, unless that was fate's plan all along...

Anyway, you get the point! The topic would need to have a mystery in it that everybody could add onto, instead of just focusing on one person.
Sooo...any takers?

I don't know, *I* have faith in you! ^^
The trick is to add in as many cliche or outrageous expressions and metaphors as possible. Add in some stereotypical character mannerisms like "the serious detective" or the like, and some older-generation words and phrases such as "shindig", "babe", or "zip-guns", and you have it down. You don't even have to do all of that - some is just for flare.
The point of the idea, of course, is just to let loose and have fun with your writing!
If you decided to do it, I think we'd still need more people to do it, though... [starts staring at anybody reading this topic right now]

I suppose I could try... not sure how well I'd be able to do it but eh... never hurts to jump out of your comfort zone without a parachute so to speak

I'd give it ago. Conall lived through that whole time period (he was a boxer in an underground fighting ring back then) so Im sure it wouldn't be too hard for him to think like that again.
