Physical Description

(Please keep in mind that Gwen’s Physical appearance and preferences are set in her current period. Before she got twisted by that tragic effect, her preferences were quite different.)

Completely against her current character, Gwen is actually a very pretty young woman. She’s quite small for a women her age, nevertheless she stands proudly at her 5”1’. She has a very firm build that matches her height. She’s not fat, rather the opposite of that (the girl has NO appetite) but she’s not skinny either. She’s build with decent round curves and definitely doesn’t have this stick person thing going for her. She has a very pale skin color owing to the fact that she’s usually covered in broad, all-covering clothing. She also has the slightly unwholesome look of a person that drinks and smokes way too much.

Gwen has a lovely heart-shaped face. She has high cheekbones, a smooth forehead (except for the small scar right in the middle that was left there by the chicken pocks she had when she was six years old) and a straight nose covered with small freckles. Her nose is a tad too sharp for her other features, which are quite smooth, giving her an almost hawk-like appearance. She has a set of white teeth, framed by full, rosy lips. She has a pair of biiiiiig, deep blue eyes, which have a permanent icy cast to it, with long lashes and a set of light eyebrows.

Gwen has never cared for jewellery, not even (or perhaps especially not) when she was a little girl. She considers it a nuisance rather then anything else, so she simple doesn’t wear any. This means that she never wears any rings, necklaces, bracelets or earrings. It also means that she doesn’t wear any piercing. Gwen absolutely refuses to have anything to do with any of those things. However, she is quite fond of tattoos and she has quite a few spread across her body. Not all of them were... planned. Two of them were slapped on her while she was quite drunk. She has two tattoos that she carefully considered before getting them. One is the flag of New Zealand and she carries it on her left shoulder blade and the second one is the word Blood tattooed vertically on her right upper arm. The other two or some odd Chinese symbol on her right ankle (and no, she has no idea what it means) and the words ‘Feck yer’ right above her butt (.... don’t ask).

Personality
Gwen’s personality is quite a complicated one, considering how drastically she’s changed over the last few years. Ever since that tragic effect six years ago she’s been forever scared, in a psychological way. There’s a side of her that still longs to be with her sister and then there is a side that is much, much stronger and only wishes Ellisif’s death. This ongoing struggle within the bowels of her own consciousness have caused Gwen’s personality to split it two. These personalities are referred to as either the ‘light’ side, or the ‘dark’ side.

Gwen’s ‘light’s side is currently suppressed and very rarely shows itself. It’s her personality as it was before things happened. It’s the side of her that still remembers life at her family’s farm. As girl, Gwen was neither very demanding or selfish. She was in many ways a simpleton, content with her quiet life. She found pleasure in doing the tasks that her father set for her each day and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was by no means dumb. Indeed, it was in these years that she developed her keen interest in mechanics and was taught many tricks of the trade by her father. Because where her mother and Ellisif used to tend to the crops and the animals, Gwen and her father made sure that everything around the farm was kept in working order. Yes, all in all Gwen was a happy and caring young lady.

But compared to her current state of mind, she’s hardly recognizable. Her ‘dark’ side turned her over completely, managed to convince her that Ellisif had planned her evil deed from the moment her parents adopted her. Poor girl, the shock of what she saw that day drove her completely mad..

Let’s start with the word cold. That’s really Gwen in a nutshell. She’s not a friendly person, not by large. She does not like the company of other people and shows this by being very cool and distant while dealing with other people. She can be respectful where needed certainly, but she doesn’t go to lengths to cover up that she’d rather leave present company. She has a sharp tongue and an explosive temper, two things that don’t mix very well at all. When annoyed (and I can assure you, she is very easily annoyed) she will quickly resort to name calling and she’s quite skilled at mentally abusing a fellow human being.

Deceitful is another good word to describe Gwen. She hardly ever does things for the obvious reasons. She has a very deep desire to make everything play into her hands and she does everything that she can to make this happen. Her actions are most often double layered. Her true motives for doing something never clear to others. Getting what she wants is very important to Gwen and she’ll often go to extreme lengths to make certain things happen. As an example, she is not a stranger to blackmail and she has been know to perform favors of... questionable legality.

By her current nature, Gwen is also suspicious. Oh yes, very suspicious. She’ll dissolve in conspiracy theories as soon as someone looks at her the wrong way. Distrusting is probably the best label you can give it. Her ‘dark’ side whispers to her almost continuously these days, urging her on, making her restless and filling her fitful slumbers with nothing but nightmares. Not only has she turned despicable and distant, her new nature has made her quite psychotic on the side. Not a dish to be served cold!

Skills
Gwen has a strong affiliation with mechanics and tools. Spending her early years working along side her father on the family farm, she quickly learned to skillfully handle her equipment and became apt at repairing it if necessary. These days, she uses her skills solely to improve and maintain her weapons used to hunt Ellisif.

History
Gwen doesn’t remember much of her life before that incident six years ago. When she tries to think back to those years she gets the feeling that they were happy years. That her childhood spend on that farm, together with her parents and sister, were probably as happy and normal as any person could wish for. That it was a content life and that they weren’t bothered by the events taking place in the world around them. Almost as if time of that farm didn’t move quite the same way as time moved in the rest of the world…

…. then came that cursed day, six years ago. It didn’t start out like an abnormal day. Gwen had gotten up early to help her father fix the generator on the far side of the farm. It had been giving them some problems over the last few days, but her father had finally managed to find the correct parts needed to fix it. The animals were left in the care of Ellisif and their mother. Nothing unusual so far… Around noon, Gwen and her father managed to fix the generator and he kindly excused her for the rest of the day. This suited Gwen just fine, because she had agreed to meet with a few of her friends in town.

She went back to the farm to clean herself up and then headed out to the town. When she arrived one of her friends informed her that they had planned a sleep over. Gwen hadn’t been informed of this before hand but she agreed to join in. Considering the fact that she almost never went out, she felt sure that her parents would excuse her for one night as long as she made sure we’d be back early the next morning to assume her tasks. Gwen had a very pleasant evening, it was so rare for her to spend time with her friends from the town. The next morning set out from her friend’s house while everyone was still resting.

It was still quite early when she arrived at the farmhouse, even for her family’s standards. She went inside figuring that her parents and sister would still be having breakfast. She walked to the front door, opened it and stepped through, emerging into the living room.

The sight that greeted her was one that would change her life forever..

The otherwise spotless floor was covered with blood, and specks of it covered the furniture and walls. And in the middle of the room she found her parents lying on the floor. They were death, and horribly maimed no less, as if they had been ripped apart by wolves or dogs. By now, Gwen had reached a state of calm detachment, the scene in front of her so horrific that she couldn’t possibly comprehend. All she could notice was that her sister was not with the bodies of her parents. She turned at the sound of noises coming from the second floor. She could clearly hear whimpering and scratching. Some wild animal was still up there! Gone were all her thoughts of looking for her sister. She had to take care of that animal upstairs first. She headed for the flight of stairs, stopping only long enough to take her father’s shotgun off the wall.

She arrived upstairs just in time. Through a large crack in what used to be her sister’s bedroom door she could she a wolflike creature huddled in a corner. And just as she took aim, she could see the animal transform back into her little sister, Ellisif. Completely blank with shock, Gwen realized the only think she could at that moment. Her sister had murdered her parents. Her sister… wasn’t normal. Probably wasn’t even human. Something immediately snapped inside of Gwen as she heard her little sister say that she had murdered their parents accidentally. Accidentally? Gwen tried to listen more closely, but her ‘dark’ side had already started whispering to her. And before long, it had managed to convince her that there had been no accident. All of it had been planned. Carefully planned.

She walked forward into the bedroom, looking at Ellisif who was crying and trying to get dressed. Some sort of noise much have drawn her attention, because Ellisif suddenly turned to make eye contact with her older sister. She tried to explain what had really happened but Gwen had already lost the oncoming battle. In her mind, she was convinced that Ellisif had murdered their parents for no other reason then complete evilness. No, in her mind she didn’t even consider the girl.. thing to be her sister anymore. And so, she did the only thing she could do.

She lurched forward to attack Ellisif, completely forgetting about the gun she was carrying. But she found herself at the losing end of this battle. Ellisif pushed her out of the way, Gwen was send tumbling forward across the floor. When she looked up, she was just in time to see the murderous thing jump out of the window

A lot of years have passed since that event, and Gwen has learned many things ever since. Like, the fact that Ellisif is a werewolf and that creatures like that seemingly have their own world to live on. After witnessing Ellisif’s transformation that evening, Gwen became a believer alright. Over the course of the last few years she has chased Ellisif wherever she went, expending her skill and hardware as she went. Unwillingly, she underwent a transformation of her own. From simple farm girl to full-fledged werewolf hunter. She even went so far as to follow Ellisif through a portal and into this other world.

All Gwen longs for is revenge for the death of her parents, and her former sister’s death.
