 Character Name: Demois Maddock Age: Physically early 30s, true age, 779 Species: Vampire Job: Retired Emissary Relationships: Close friend to Anok and Rosaline Ald'an Family: None known Physical Description: Demois is very tall and handsome. He has pale skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. He keeps his hair short and combed back. He dresses very conservitively, and always in black. And has an air about him that is authoritative. Demois also wears glasses. He decideds to stay in human form most of the time, keeping his fangs hidden unless needed. He favors his human appearance versus his vampire appearance. But that doesnt mean he doesnt take pride in his vampire heritage. That is visible just by looking at him. Personality:Demois is a very even-tempered vampire. After many many years of being a vampire and an emissary, he is very wise and very diplomatic. He is well aware of his abilities and powers, but does not take advantage of them. He is patient, and easy to talk with. Demois is very adventureous. He takes pride in his past, but is not boastful. Demois is agressive when he has to be, but does not use it unless provoked. Skills: Being a previous Emissary, Demois has all of the diplomatic skills, and many of the skills of the business world. He has an extense knowledge of all types of vampires. He knows hundreds of clan leaders on Earth, and many other vampires in Ris'Mos. His knowledge and wisdom are his greatest strength. After being a vampire for over 1,000 years, he has also had time to strengthen many of the traditional vampiric abilities, as well as others. He has the ability to fly, levitate, sense, blink, transform, turn to mist, read minds and communicate telepathicly. He also has extremely attuned balance, speed, and agility. His fighting and weaponry skills are exceptional. History: Demois was sired around 1255AD. His history before the 1400s has somewhat been lost. Before then, he used many different names, and traveled the world. He was sired by accident and his master, not wanting a tag-along, abandoned him. He struggled, but trained himself and became one of the strongest vampires of his time. He made a name for himself among the various clans on earth, and traveled to Ris'Mos in search of new adventures. He made many alliances, which helped him when he took the position of Emissary in the mid-1600s. He developed a network of informants, and alliances of all reputations in both worlds. One of these friendships was with a young vampiress named Rosaline Darkwood. She had been banished from her clan, after years of torture and was still somewhat lost in the vampire community. He helped her in many ways, including training her in the vampiric arts, diplomacy, and fighting techniques. He protected her, and became an informant to her with any information about her former clan. The two formed a relationship much like a father and daughter would and to this day, he is still a great mentor to her. It is sometimes said, that he molded her from the start to take over his position once he retired. In his diplomatic adventures, he also became close to a young Ris'Mosian shapeshifter named Anok Ald'an. The shapeshifter and vampire crossed paths one day in an alley in Ris'Mos city, just outside the castle. Being a shapeshifter, and so uncommen, Anok was quite often harassed. One day, Anok ended up in a fight with some elementals. Demois witnessed the fight escalate, and broke up the fight. The elementals ran, but Anok stayed to thank Demois for his help. Demois was impressed by the young shapeshifter's humbleness, and invited him into the castle. The two became close friends fast. In the 1860s, through a coincidental run-in, Anok and Rosaline met through Demois. After their wedding, Demois became even closer with the couple. When Demois retired from emissaryship, and Rosaline took over. The three of them agreed that Demois could stay in the Vampire household and Rosaline would move into the Shapeshifter household with Anok. The three still remain close friends. As a retired emissary, Demois still spends time at the castle, but not as a diplomat. He also has taken this time of his life to travel, once again, throughout Ris'Mos and Earth, going to many different places. He also keeps ties with all of the vampire alliances he's made throughout the years, and still keeps a watch on Cassandra's activities for Rosaline. |
