Character Name: Elyria Noldenwood Age: A hell of a lot older than most of you. She's around 500 years old, but she looks like she's about 20. Species: Dark Angel Job: None, except that she'll kill someone if you ask nicely. Relationships: Arakho Family: Her mother was a necromancer and her father was a fallen angel, but they're both long dead. Physical Description: Elyria is extremely tall, standing about 6'6". Her eyes are a dark blue, and her hair is long and black. Her clothes are old fashioned, but aren't too different, and they suit her somehow. Personality: Elyria normally doesn’t choose sides in a fight, and doesn’t care what people think about her. She is in control of her emotions all the time, but if someone gets her going, she can be the Bitch from Hell and the Queen of Chaos, so be careful. The only thing she really cares about are books and humans. She absolutely loves the former, and despises the latter. Elyria also has a fondness for animals, and does not approve of people owning other animals. She respects all animals, and people who abuse any animals will piss her off quicker than shit. Skills(physical skills, weapon skills, magical skills, intelligence levels, mental skills/psi powers, misc/other skills of your choosing): Elyria is very agile, outstripping many without much of an effort. She can use almost any weapon, except a bow like Arakho. She is very powerful in magic, and knows many many curses and their counter-curses as well. She’s fairly smart, and can be very charismatic at times. She knows how to hack into people’s minds, and can hack spells as well. History: Elyria was born hundreds of years ago, back in the dark ages. Her mother was a necromancer, who fell in love with one of the dead spirits she conversed with one day while visiting Death. Not realizing he was an angel scouting for evil, she brought him back with her upon his consent, and found him a body to use so they could be together. The ‘body’ in question was someone she killed to harbor the dead spirit. When dead spirits enter flesh, they slowly corrode it, so she had to find new ones for him every few days. After a few weeks, people were beginning to notice that people were disappearing. Around this time, Elyria was conceived. The angel scout learned of this, and fearing banishment from Heaven, fled from Life yet again and returned to his place with the other Dead. Months passed, and Elyria’s mother became more and more frantic as Elyria’s birthing drew near. She finally had her, and only a few weeks later, was found guilty by the town of murdering half of the neighboring village. She was tried and hanged, but after they thought she was good and dead, someone caught her the next day slipping back into her home on the outskirts of town. Intrigued, they spied on her and found her nursing a child. They once again arrested her, and burned her at the stake, along with the child. In desperation, Elyria’s mother entrusted her child’s spirit with some well known dead spirits, who caught Elyria’s spirit before it rushed into Death forever. Elyria was then raised by the two spirits that manifested into humanoids, far away from everyone, before finally venturing into society again. She had been in the town only a few days, before a bout of plague struck them. Everyone was sick and dying. Elyria had been taught from a very young age how to harvest spirits from people before they crossed over, making it less painful for them, and giving her extra strength and energy. So this is exactly what she did, going from house to house in the dead of night to put an end to the people’s pain and misery. Even though her intentions were good, the others in the town that survived didn’t view it that way. The accused her of using dark magic and murdering, and in foresight, she fled that night. She came to hate the humans and slowly turned to the Black and Dark Arts to seek vengeance on those that accused her and killed her mother. One day, she reappeared in the village, and completely destroyed it, killing everyone and burning the houses. She moved from place to place, ransacking the towns and harvesting the spirits as she went. One day, some gypsies were hired by the local population to kill her. Elyria was not aware of it, and she stumbled straight into their trap. Elyria would have died for certain, but the gypsies got the spell wrong...they used a spell that is normally used to kill a demon, and Elyria was no demon. It drove her into the spirit realm though, and from there she wandered the currents of the minds of others, waiting for a chance to come back. At one point, in the middle of the 18th century, Elyria found a host in which to take her revenge, but once again, she was banished. This annoyed her terribly, and for a hundred years or so, she refused to even try getting back to Earth. One day, while drifting along the usual currents she patrolled, she noticed an opening in the void, but it was closing rapidly and, deciding to take a chance, she slipped through into Arakho’s mind. Skipping ahead a few weeks, Elyria, through an odd string of occurences, began drowning while she was inhabiting Arakho. She suddenly realized that she didn't want to kill another innocent person, so she protected Arakho and sacrificed herself for her. Elyria then had a nice and long talk with the "creature" which consisted of everyone she'd ever murdered while she was alive. They refused to let her into Heaven to be with her father, and didn't want her in Hell either, so they granted her life to Arakho so she could decide. Arakho chose life for Elyria, and she was thrown back into life again. Okay...I'm done. I promise. ^^ |
