Brief Description: Vampires are creatures of the night. They are typically very dark people. They can be sired at any age, but once sired, they stay that age forever. Ris'Mosian vampires do not sleep in coffins or turn into bats. They are also not victim to the Ris'Mosian sun, though many still stay out of it. Vampires tend to feed on blood or they can feed psychically. Physical Attributes: The vampire's fangs are their trademark throughout history. Vampiric forms are very close to humans at first glance. Vampires tend to have darker eyes and a much paler complexion. They also have no heartbeat and no need to breathe. Common Powers: Vampires are masters of the mind. They can very easily master the powers of mind reading, telepathy, mind control and seduction. Vampires are also famously known for their agility and speed. Humanoid Form: A vampire's human form is their same appareance at the age which they were sired. Their fangs are retracted or shortened in this form and they look the same as the day they were sired. They may look a little paler though and a little less vibrant. Comon Residance in Ris'Mos: Ris'Mos City Notice: Vampires can not have children. They are sterile unless otherwise specified. We have documented a rare form of siring known as "Preservation siring." This form of siring preserves a part of the humanity (of a female victim). This trait is marked by a faint heart beat, something that would support life. There have only been 14 pregnancies: 8 of which were miscarried, 3 dead shortly after birth...and 2 to survive past the age of 12...One is still an infant, the age of one at present. THIS IS A DEAD ART. You need administrative permission to use this method of reproduction, in order to keep it sacred. Vampire men are sterile, but can be treated with specific potions for potency. These are also ancient remedies with a low success rate. Vampires and humans can produce children in the form of Dhampires through other practices, noted here Current Emissary: Rosaline Ald'an |

To those considering a life of Vampirism, I encourage you to think very hard on the life you are about to choose. The romance which surrounds our lifestyle is not all that it is cracked up to be. Through our immortality, be prepared to watch your old life slip away as it fades, like an old photograph, and expect to adapt to many changes throughout history. It is a life of hardship and challange, as you live a life of secrecy to survive. Relationships tend to suffer because of the lies and because of the frequent need to relocate, especially if your abilities have been exposed. Ris'Mos is a world of liberation for our kind. Relationships have the potential to last and grow, we are not limited by moonlight, and there is no need to relocate every 25 years. It is important for you to know that we, the vampires of Ris'Mos have made a pact with human-kind, offering refuge for them in this world. The Vampires, Dhampires, and Humans agreed that there would be no persecution between them while on Ris'Mos. It was our greatest goal to maintain peace in this world. For us, this means that humans can not be sired or hunted in this world. The human world still has not evolved as much as Ris'Mos, and Vampire Clans do still exist, but in significantly smaller numbers than before. The communal life is not as important to survival anymore, and many of the old traditions have been lost through evoloution. Due to this change, there are no clans in Ris'Mos. All vampires are free to live their own, independant lives and there is no need to report to anyone about activity. As your Emissary, I am responcible for maintaining that peace between our kind, and the other races in both worlds. My aim is to gain respect for our kind, not fear. I also keep the history of our kind, and hold the records for all Vampire geneologies and texts which have been handed down through the years. My final responcibility is to be a venue which all Ris'Mosians may use to access information about the Vampires. If you have any questions about Vampirism, siring, training, history, geneology, relocation (between clans or in Ris'Mos), or anything else involving the Vampire race, please do not hesitate to contact me. Best Regards, Rosaline Ald'an Emissary of Vampires |
