 (Emily with her twin brother, Brent) Character Name: Emily Andrews Age: Physically 20, True age 26 Species: Witch/Vampire Job: None currently, former clan maiden. Relationships: None Family: Father – Andrew (Deceased) Mother – Denise Twin Brother - Brent Physical Description: Emily is very slender and pale. She has light brown eyes, and long brown hair with lighter highlights. She’s about 5’5” and has a very plain beauty. She rarely wears makeup or dresses up. In her vampire form, her hair darkens and her highlights become much more of a contrast. Her eyes darken to a charcoal black color, and her skin becomes even paler. Her hair is often tied back in a lose ponytail to keep her hair from interfering with her work. Personality: Emily is very timid and quiet. She has become somewhat of an introvert since coming to the Wakeman clan. When her life was good, she was very bubbly, hopeful, and cheery. She is very obedient, dutiful and loyal now after spending time in the clan and learning how strict life was there. There has been a complete change in her since her life before being a vampire. She finds comfort in what she remembers of her magic. Her new vampiric abilities are not of as much concern for her and she finds feeding from humans repulsive. Oftentimes Skills: The infamous twin connection; Emily is still emotionally tied to her brother, Brent and occasionally has incidents where she feels his pain or discomfort. This connection is both comforting and unsettling for her, since he must still feel it as well and know she is alive. Emily is skilled in the wiccan arts, and although she has had very little time to work on her vampiric skills, she has had time to work on skills such as agility, charming, and extrasensory perception. She has also been known to work on her skills as a seductress. History: Emily grew up in a small home in the suburbs outside of Boston. Her father worked in a factory, and her mother stayed home, raising Emily and her twin brother Brent. She lived the ideal childhood; riding her bike in the cul-de-sac, having all of her friends living close, and two parents who loved her and her brother very much. Her and her brother were very close as well, always playing and spending time together. On her 12th birthday, her mother began to teach her of her wiccan heritage. Emily spent her free time learning spells, making potions and expanding her powers while maintaining her picture perfect childhood. Her brother also practiced magic, but not as intensely as Emily had. When Emily had turned 16, her father lost her job at the factory and turned to alcohol for comfort. In his downward spiral, the family lost their home, a good deal of their savings, and they were forced to move into a poorer neighborhood. All Emily had left was her magic for comfort and for escape. She was dedicated, learning everything she could with her mothers help. One night while practicing, in her room, her father came home in an angry rage and destroyed her spell books. Her whole world changed after that. She wasn’t knowledgeable enough to write her own spells yet, and without her books to guide her…she lost everything, even the things she had learned. She had to tiptoe around the house not to upset her father. Any mistake could bring up an uproar or worse. One time Brent was thrown out of the house for not having his room clean enough for her father’s standards. Eventually, Emily’s father’s alcohol problem became too much for him to handle and he killed himself, leaving Emily, Brent and their mother devastated. She grieved for quite a long time, drawing even deeper into herself. Eventually, she began to reach out for love in other places. She started going to the city on the weekends with some people she thought were her friends. On a weekend trip to Boston, she met Cravan. He attacked her in an alleyway but her ability to defend herself with her fading magic seemed to intrigue him. Instead of killing her, he turned her hoping to be able to exploit her powers. He brought her to the clan house hoping for her to meet Cassandra, but by the time they had gotten there, Cassandra had left for some place that they referred to as “the other world” on business. To keep her busy while waiting for Cassandra, quiet, sweet Emily was left to work as a clan maiden, keeping up the place and doing her chores. She only got to go hunting once or twice a week and never practiced her magic or really explored her new abilities. Emily was just recently freed from the Clan when Mistress Rosaline came to inform them of Mistress Cassandra’s death. Emily never got to meet the previous ruler of the Clan and still is unsure why Cravan wanted to use her power. She is determined to figure out why and she hopes to restart her life by going to the “other world” to find others like her, both other witches and vampires. |
