 Character Name: Kei Jeshen Age: His true form appears about 23 but he was born 217 years ago Species: Shape Shifter Job: Mercenary Relationships: Hardiean Mortimer, Wife-Deceased Family: Tiaman Jeshen, Mother-Deceased Physical Description: As shapeshifters have a multitude of forms, they often have a true form over the many choices. Kei has taken on the form of a Dark angel in humanoid form. Standing at 6 feet excatly in his true form, Kei gives the appearence of grandour and respect. His wings although not as large or having the spread of a standard angel his wings are a midnight black. Around his neck he wears the remains of a collar in which his family used to hold him, all of his forms carries the collar making him recognisable if he's been seen before. His eyes are a brilliant Amber colouring and gives him a piercing stare. Across his chest theres a long deep scar which he once again could remove but every time he is in his Angel form it's present. All of his humanoid forms have lank black hair. A single black broad sword hangs from his left hip. Personality: Kei is a tortured soul in many respects, his history is soaked in blood and this has had a noticeably negative affect on his mental health. Constantly brooding his expression is a blank one of muted anger. Prone to incredible anger and bloodlust Kei refuses to let anyone close to him. During his rages he will often take on angressive form with the aim of causing as much damage as possible. Rarely pleased with any thing done to him, Kei has learned that if you want something done he needs to do it himself. Feeling only the darker emotions makes his a very isolated persons and this shows in his choice of wording Skills: Since he has a potentially unlimited arsenal it's difficult to pin points Kei's skills but it's clear that he has a proficentcy with a sword and knife. While stealth skills are not needed for one who can transform into a bird or a moth Kei has perfected stealthy arts with his prefered form and can walk almost silently, those with sensitive ears would be able to pick the footfalls. Due to his damaged mental health Kei isn't as smart as other shape shifters, his mental speed and planning ahead have also suffered. However he's psysically stronger and more instinctual then other shape shifters he's met which gives him a slight edge in combat with his own species. For someone so damaged it's hard to believe that Kei is a skilled singer and musician and during times of calm and lucidity you can hear the mournful tones floating across the horizon History: Kei was born into a single parent household roughly 200 years ago. His father a man who he never was able to track down had left his mother Tiaman some 5 years before his birth. His mother could see from an early age that there was something quite right about Kei, namely his violent tantrums and sullen moody normality. While she was able to use her abilities and forms to negate this she had no idea that it was already setting his mind into inbalence. By his early teens Tiamen had found a new spouse and despite the added help from Yel, Kei was starting to over power the both of them with his quickly developing brute strength. Eventually they came up with a plan, spending a great amount of money they invested in a collar and chain that the Enchanter they bought it off promised that it would hold any beast no matter the size or strength. Happy the pair of shapeshifter adults returned home and during a minor fight with the young Kei they attached it. Bound in his room for the next 25 years Kei's sanity began to detoriate and he was prone to try and attack Yel and Tiaman everytime they ventured into his room yet the collar and chain prevented him for getting close. As things usually go Kei snapped and taking the form of a black dragon he burst out of his room due to the size of the form taken. The chain and collar remained taking flight Kei pushed his strength and rage to it's limits by pulling the magically imbued chain tight. Tiaman and Yel having survived there house exploding into a pile of rubble were shocked to see the power of their son being demonstrated. Slashing the chain Kei broke his bonds and felt a moment of rare happiness, landing he returned to his humanoid form and stood infront of his mother and father in law. Without hesitating he picked up the remains of the chains and hunted them both down. Kneeling in the pool of his mothers blood Kei couldn't find it within himself to feel any emotions, he was blank. Lost in the turmoil of his own mind he failed to notice that his true form had changed, permanently. Prior to the murder of his parents Kei had used his shape shifting abilities to transform into a bird or a smaller dragon to join his parents in travel, with the development of his wings Kei left that night in an attempt to leave his past behind. Joining a mercenary company after 3 years of travel trying to escape his own mind he had left a bloody trail behind him and was wanted in many area's of Ris'Mos for murder or assult, the company was the only occupational choice that would even think about letting him work. After a year of legalized murder under the company banner Kei met and slowly but surely fell in love with a fellow Mercenary by the name of Hardiean Mortimer. While she wasn't a shape shifter and was predjudiced against them due to her thinking they had impure blood Kei took on a temporary true form of a human so he could court her. Marrying her and both of them leaving the company 2 years after first setting eyes on Hardiean Kei was comtempt and his sanity was back on a stable level. On the eve of his child being brought into the world he was surprised that firstly his child was a shape shifter and that Hardiean was acting so strongly against it. It was there child why would she hate it. As he grew more confused he felt himself sliding into his old frame of mind. Not bothering to transform into any form save his true form he drew his sword and with distaste and insane hatred for everything he was he attacked his wife and lover. It was not a fight it was a brutalisation, when the neibours looked in through the window they saw what was called chunks of meat laying on the floor with a bloody angel lying and crying. Leaving common knowledge and location for the the last 155 years Kei has been has been even more isolated then when he left the realms of common knowledge. However a sighting of a black winged angel wearing a collar and bearing a scar have been reported cor...that was long |
