![]() Character Name: Kristen Porter-Le Fey Age: 28 Species: Witch Job: Waitress at night, Researcher by day. Relationships: Her Cat, Iggy. Family: Anastasia Jordan – Grandmother; Jillian Porter – Mother; Geoffrey Porter – Father Physical Description: Kristen has a very simple beauty. Her “all American” sort of brown hair, brown eyes, and medium tone skin tone really keep her from standing out in a crowd, especially in a place like New York City. She doesn’t mind it though, it keeps her from getting distracted from her work. She loves the color black and is always wearing SOMETHING black. She also never leaves the house without her pentagram, and her grandmother’s ring. Kristen is of average height, and is about a size 10 waist. Personality: Kristen is a lesbian, and it’s a double edged sword for her. She doesn’t often let it take over her life. She isn’t looking for anyone right now, but if something shows up, she welcomes it into her life as a blessing. Her grandmother had taught her such values in love, life and anything that mattered. She doesn’t find herself on either side of the epic battle between good and evil…she’s just trying to find her way in the magical world, and will turn to anyone who has information. She’s one of those people who will take everything at face value and then make her own decision about it, and she feels the same way about magic. She is not easily persuaded about anything, and needs time to make her decisions. Skills: Since she began studying, Kristen has mastered very few skills. When it comes to witchcraft, she truly is a jack of all trades, and master of none. She knows of many spells, but can not perform them all. She has purposely kept her horizons so broad that she is able to still pick her favorite at a later time. She is still learning, and only knows certain spells for defense, and a few healing potions. She is still playing with other forms of spell casting, enchanting and potion mixing, and she will continue to do so until she discovers her greatest potential. As with many witches, she has discovered her strength (at least for now) in fire manipulation. It is that one skill that she seems to pick up the fastest, like a natural-born talent. By herself, she is often caught playing with fire, trying to expand this power more than any of them, because she can pick it up so quickly. History: Kristen Porter was born into a pretty simple life. It was one of those picture-perfect lifestyles; suburban home, middle class family, comfortable life, really…typical. She grew up very close with her grandmother, and often spent more time at her grandmother’s house, than at her own house with her parents. Her grandmother was even the first person that Kirsten told of her homosexuality. When Kristen was 17, her grandmother died and she withdrew into a deep depression and didn’t know what to do…about anything. She wanted nothing to do with cleaning out her grandmother’s house and getting it ready for sale. The day that the house was sold, her mother, knowing of her troubles, brought her a book, found in her grandmother’s attic. The book had a family history, starting with just written names, and drawn family trees, and filling in later with black and white pictures, ending with color pictures of Kirsten with her grandmother. Under the picture, there was a letter addressed to her. It was from her grandmother telling Kristen that this book had been kept in her family for years, and that she was trusting Kirsten to keep it safe, and keep it going for her. Kristen became obsessed with the book, researching these family members and confirming their relationships. Reading through it, she found her relationship to the famous witch, Morgan Le Fey. On her 21st birthday, Kristen had her name legally changed to Kristen Porter-Le Fey to show her proud heritage. Finding out that this woman really did exist; she was determined to discover whether her magic existed as well. She realized very early on in her mission that her family book would have no details of it, since witchcraft in any form or accusation was a punishable crime up until very recently. She turned to Wicca at first, learning modern techniques of practice. Much like she did with her family heritage, she traced back to the most primitive and darkest forms of magic. She utilized every source imaginable in her search. She talked to palm readers, anthropologists, and mystics…anyone who knew anything about the magic arts, spell casting, and potion making. She knew of her relationship to one of the most powerful witches of all time…she just had to make the right connections to unlock her own path. She has not yet discovered Ris’Mos yet, and lives in New York City, doing all that she can to research more of her family history, and more of the history of the witches, growing in her powers as she studied. |
