Well, are you?
I won't go out of my way to make sure they don't get rights, I just don't want them touching my dick/boobs 5 (20%)
I am, I avoid gay/lesbian people intentionally, but I am fine with them having all the same rights we do. 2 (8%)
I hate THEM! Fuck them and fuck their rights. They don't deserve shit. They make our nation look bad. I cannot respect them as fellow human beings. 5 (20%)
I am gay/lesbian. 3 (12%)
Anyone who doesn't respect homosexual individuals should probably kill themselves for being that fucking backwards. Its 2010 people, no one is asking you to be friends with them, but you better fucking believe they deserve their rights. 10 (40%)

A homophobe is someone who discriminate against gays/lesbians.

I dislike them, but if its truly not chosen by the person itself (if they're born with it) then I guess it's okay.

I voted for the last option. People really need to understand that homosexuality is something you're born with, not a decision that you make. Doing something like disallowing gay couples from getting married is no different than a miscegenation law preventing a man and woman of two different races from getting married, yet some people can denounce the former while considering the latter to be ridiculous and inhumane.

I agree with Mushy. I aswell voted for the last one. I feel it's time that people realize that this is no different from racism, sexism etc. It's completely unfair, and ignorant. I don't get why people view other people differently because of their sexuality. Is that really what decides how you view a person? No. It's like asking you if you would rather hang out with a mean, arrogant, backstabbing "straight" person, rather then a great, funny, kind, caring, compassionate homosexual person. I'd just doesn't make sense.

I mean, people can have opinions, but seriously, grow up.

And bringing this all into Religion is another subject altogether...which I won't bring up.

There is no way people are born gay, it is the way you are brought up and raised that leads to homosexuality or experiences that you have had in your love life that cause homosexuality.

It's not like you come out of your momma and are like "I plan on marrying men" :P

There needs to be another option called "I don't have a strong opinion on this", because I don't hate gay people at all, but I'm not gay on the other hand, and the final one is a bit too much for me :P

I voted for the last one, but I don't feel that extreme about it. But I don't feel so less as the first one.

I'm pretty sure if gay people had the choice to be straight, a lot of them would just be straight for the simplicity, but obviously they can't choose.

I don't even get the hate against gay people...it's not like they will convert you or anything...o_O I dunno, just doesn't make sense to me, oh well

I'm not going to respect someone just because they are a homosexual. I think it's stupid that society is trying to drill that into our minds. That's not equality, that's supremacy.

With that being said, I'm also not going to disrespect someone because they are a homosexual. I honestly don't give a fuck and I don't see why anyone else should either. If they're not hurting anyone then who cares what they do.

For anyone who thinks that homosexuality is a learned behavior, read this article from Google Scholar:

http://www.ijpp.com/vol54_1/5-20.pdf

I chose this article because it's from 2010 and written simply enough for no one to be able to use the excuse that it's too hard to read. :P If you want more, http://scholar.google.ca/.

But, the "sexuality" part of it
How does that work?

I go to a school where there's tons of fashion students. And the guys there are constantly in the washrooms. Like literally you enter and there's someone in the stalls pretending to take a piss. The urinals have nothing psychically blocking them and they are so obvious when they lean over to catch glimpses of you while you do your thing =/

If you are gay just don't try to shove it down my throat pl0x. I get you are proud and all but not everyone wants to see you flaunt it.

I would also like to point out that a shitload of plastics and other materials around us are gradually increasing our estrogen levels. Maybe that is the reason why we are seeing so many more homos as time goes on =/

I also voted for the last one, even though it sounded harsh. I don't see why people are homophobic, and all. They're humans, like we, "straight" people are. There is no legit reason why they're rights should be taken away for loving someone.

Imagine this. You're one of the few people around the world that's straight. You're parents are homosexual, all your friends are homosexual, basically 1 of 1000 people are straight. Imagine. When people say "Oh, you look good with _____!" The person's the same gender as you. You say you're straight. People will discriminate you. People will look down on you. People will harrass you. People will hate you. People will hurt you, mentally, and physically. Everyone. Even your parents.

This is how homosexuals of today feel. There is no one who will accept them for loving who they want. It's rather stupid.

I'm not saying you should respect them, nor disrespect them. It's just really stupid how people automatically hate on someone, just because of their sexuality. They don't bother on finding out their personality. They could have the most wonderful personality you could like.

Metal: :fist: The most relevant information is from page 9 onwards. I tried to copy/paste some of it but it pastes weird.

Wurmie: I'm not sure what you mean. D: I mean, babies don't have a sex drive, but developing one later in life is a biological process. It's not like you become attracted to other people because you're told to be.

Skyline: That's gross if you have someone trying to peek at you, but can't you just go in a stall? It's like the wisdom of not bending over in front of a heterosexual guy if it would give him an opportunity to look down your shirt. :P

My opinion on the apparent increase in homosexuality is just that people feel more comfortable coming out now.
