WE K-91 decides to do some nestkeeping around and under the sleeping chick which wakes up wondering what's going on. The egg and the sleeping chick have been in front of mom, which is strange. Shouldn't she be keeping the egg warm?

WE Can't figure out what is going on. The camera zoomed in and it looked like the egg was broken in half. Then mom seemed to shove the egg and chick underneath herself. Just before 10:53 pm western time.

WE .. this is the first egg that was laid on February 8th which is non-viable.

The chick is from the second egg.

The adults may have realized that it is not going to hatch.
