OK, I need help here. I am trying to nominate Peter Sharpe to the Hero of the Year Award in the Animal Planet contest on the website and need all of you to go to the link below and send in your nominations also, it say you can enter as many times as you want. So I thought with all of us here we can all enter him in the contest. They want to know:

*In the space below, please tell us why you are nominating this person for the Animal Planet Hero of the Year in 250 words or less (not including spaces). Your nomination statement must include:

- A description of the cause the Nominee supports;

- The activities and actions that demonstrate the Nominee's commitment to the cause;

- The accomplishment and impact of the actions;

- How the Nominee's actions may have inspired others to get involved with the cause.

You may enter as often as you wish, but each entry must be different, must meet all entry requirements and must be submitted separately. Entries must be completed in English.

Troth - I tried to fill in the form but being a Canadian, I can't give a state or American postal code so the form won't go through. Any suggestions? :(

Hi Troth,

This is a wonderful idea for a really great man. I hope he wins!

I have no trouble using the link you supplied but without the birthday I'm stuck as I leave REALLY EARLY in the morning and I'll be gone during the whole time we can submit the nominations.

I'm off now to finish packing and get ready for my early morning flight.

Margie

My birth date is April 19, 1966. Thanks for nominating me. The prize money would come in handy for the project (IWS would be my chosen charity, of course).

Not that we want to cheat but if anybody e-mails me, I will send you my address, work address, home office address, my mom and dad's address, my son's address. If you just need a USA address, shoot just use IWS address or Micosroft or the IRS or Whitehouse. Again with my 4th grade teacher, Miss Airsman...."Class, lets put our thinking caps on". Maybe she wasn't as awful as we all thought she was at the time.

That's a good idea, Hulabird. I can use my sister-in-law's address in the States. I should just email her to make sure it's OK.

Sorry I have not responded sooner, I have a family crisis right now and am distracted. I have emailed the contest site asking about the out of country people who want to vote for someone in the U.S. I have not heard back yet but I too thought about using someones address here in the U.S. So I will offer my address if anyone wants to use it, just email me.

Peter: Your Aries, of course, very earthy compassionate people we Aries folks. When I saw the contest winnings I thought about you and the project and knew I had to enter you. Especially after watching the DVD of your being helicoptered over the islands just to save an eagle family. WOW! You will always be my hero. Thank you for helping save the Channel Islands for all future generations.
