:D Okay, it's done! I, too, have nominated Dr. Sharpe for the Animal Planet Hero of the Year Award! Hey hulabird, if he wins, one of the perks is a trip to Hawaii! You could give him a tour of your island!! :P

I finally got to watch my DVD....ohhhhhhh....DEFINITEly Peter is a hero...dangling from the helicopter that way...true dedication. When was the documentary taped, Peter? Obviously before A49 was even a twinkle in K10's eye but how long ago?

Peter: Is IWS a 501 3-C non-profit corporation? That is a requirement to be awarded the grand prize from Animal Planet.

Peppermint, I found this on the IWS site:

"The Institute for Wildlife Studies was incorporated in 1979 as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Service designation 501c(3)."

Good!

"The Eagles of Catalina" was filmed during the 2005 breeding season. It first aired July 3, 2005.

My vote is in. If Dr. Sharpe wins the accolade, think of the donations that will roll in to IWS.

Waving!!!!!! You can certainly stay at our house!!! We have about 40 birds right here in the living room (well right off it) for you to look at and get bitten by. You'd feel right at home. And I'll share my milk with you.

Cockney2: That happened to me too, so I went back and reviewed all the "must be completed" catagories and discovered I had not completed one (my birthdate). Once I did complete this I was able to submit.
