Patti, the only shirt I own that doesn't have bird holes in it is a dress I save for funerals/weddings and my IWS T-shirt. I think the holes and poop give them character. Plus it grosses people out at the grocery store.

Any word on the hoodies yet???  I've got a check for $50 just burning a hole in my pocket!!!

Catzsong, I read about the hoodies tonight, then visualed the parrot holes in my beautiful black hoody. I'll have a hole in my pocket, and sleeve, backside bottom, and hood. I can't turn around without somebody's beak going after the good clothes.

I'm going to have to work up to the hoodie. Can't trust 4 of my birds. They're sneak grabbers. :( :( :( One of them always sticks her long skinny leg through the bars and pulls my hair with that big foot when I'm bending down cleaning. I swear she's a monkey. One pulls my hair with her beak...which is sorta creepy, but she wouldn't do this to anybody else.

Patti, my Meyers Parrot used to put lots of holes in my clothes. But my cats have done more damage with claws than the birds! It usually happens when a dog bounds in and the cat flies out!!

BTW, my boss and his wife found a super tame Derbyn Parakeet last weekend! Have you ever seen one? They are beautiful - first parrot I've ever seen with a pale lavender chest. If you haven't seen one, you should look it up on the internet.

ttfn,
Catzsong

On my way to goodsearch, and have they put in a found ad? If the bird is that tame, the owners must be frantic by now. No, they can't keep the bird. It already has a fambly.

Hi Hulabird,
Yes, they have put found ads in the newspaper, craigslist, and at the animal control dept. but no one has called. They also put up notices in the neighborhood where it was found.
Both my boss & his wife are very animal friendly and knowledgeable. He used to work for the fed. govnmt doing customs investigation focusing on animals. He's handled hundreds of exotic animals that people have tried to smuggle into the country. His wife was the director of the county animal control dept for about 16 years and now works for a local veterinarian. They have quite a menagerie on their 6 acre spread - even an emu!!! The bird is in the best hands. I appreciate your concern. :)
