While A-49 was out exploring last weekend...did any of the biologists observe Mom K-26 and/or Dad K-10? Did either of them follow along with the wanderer or did they have any kind of reaction to their girl being gone ALL NIGHT??? There has definitely been less activity at the nest since this event...are they done with food drops? |

Excellent question peppermint. I too was wondering about the adults and if they follow her or not, also if they are still feeding her out there or does she have to make it back to the nest for food drops or is she scavenging on her own yet. |

The adults would not follow the fledgling when it wanders out of their territory. If she wants to get food from her parents, she has to return to their territory and they will likely bring her food if she gives a begging call. I think at this point the adults are ready to be done with her, so her being away for a night just takes away some of the stress to find food for her. |

Geez nature can be so cold and harsh. I look forward to the update we get from IWS when they observe her finding her own food. I have no doubt she'll do well...she IS the Stealth Queen! |
