Is A-49 finished with the nest? Will the adults visit? The West End adults seem to visit their nest. Anything you can tell us to expect? From August 1, 2006 Is the nest susceptible to lightning strikes up there in the top of that tree? |

I really can't say if Cruz is done with the nest. She could still return to the nest after going off to explore the island for a few days at a time. The adults could also visit the nest, but it is just a place to perch for the next few months. However, I'd think it is less likely that they will spend time at the nest because it is up a canyon away from the water, unlike the West End nest that is right over the water. Lightening shouldn't be a problem because the nest tree is down in a canyon, so there are higher trees all around the nest site. |
