I happened a show which mentioned the unusual Santa Catalina rattlesnake. Has anyone come across these while working on Catalina? When I was working in the Alberta badlands for the Royal Tyrrell museum we used to sight prairie rattlers fairly often. But it sounds like the Santa Catalina rattlesnake has a very unusual physiology and habits. |

That show was probably about the rattleless rattlesnake on Santa Catalina Island, Mexico off the Baja coast. We see plenty of rattlesnakes on Catalina Island, but I don't think they have any major physiological differences than the mainland variety of the southern Pacific rattlesnake. |
