I have no clue what I am doing but I hope I am starting the post for 9/6/06 I was reading up on the posts from yesterday. Thanks so much for all your good wishes everyone. I am so tired and I just can't sleep. I have taken everything I dare take....Oh well, just thanks for all your good thoughts. Yes, I am drinking tea with honey and lemon....didn't think of the Gin!!! So sorry to hear about the failure to close your property. It's a horrendous affair when you are so looking forward to something like that. Is Larry someone's pet?? Oh, gosh I hate to hear about pets being sick. They are so helpless. Yes, I told the Dr's about the tenting but I think it's way past the time that that would have any impact on my health. I just have to struggle through it. My daughter had M.S. and was in a lot of pain. And they said she had Morphine intoxication. My Granddaughter had the brunt of that as she was the one that found her. Granddaughter was 7 months pregnant. What an ordeal for her....away from home. They were in AZ. The police questioned her like she was responsible for her mother's death. It's been the most trying thing any of us have had to go through. Everytime I see a coin on the street I thank my daughter for it as I pick it up. Wish she could do the same thing to the lottery. I keep tellling her. She never listened when she was here either!!! I almost burst into tears last night on the way to school. I heard a loud bang and thought my car was hit by a rock or even shot on the 101 frwy to L. A. Who knows what can happen there! I looked around and the driver's side window was slowly receding into the door. Guess something broke in there. Power windows. It was like the camel's back scenario. I'll get it fixed but had to drive to school and back without the window up...then paranoid about leaving it in the parking area. So many cars are broken into out there. Maybe that's one reason for not being able to sleep. I never realized how many wonderful talented people we have on here. Computers in Hawaii, Real Estate people, brave souls puting editors letters in the newspaper. Aren't we all splendid! All these great people we could solve the problems of the world....if any one cared to ask us. Well, it's back to the drawing board. Sleep that is. I'll probably sleep all day today!! Hehehehehe. Thanks again for all your caring thoughts. Makes me feel really cared about. It's so sweet of all of you. Where is our little family we care so much about. Troth did you get to see any llittle wingblings??? I can hardly wait to hear more about your trip. |

Sandie, you poor tiny angel. What else for you? Wish I could just scoop you up and give you a big ole hulabird huggie. I hope you do sleep all day. Send me your homework from school and I'll have it ready for you when you have to go back. Bixby, sorry about your house falling out of escrow. I love your non-defeatist attitude about it. |

Good Morning all~ Hugs, kisses, positive thoughts and prayers go out to all who are in a sad, unhappy or unhealtly place today. You are all great people and I wish you all peace today. I have a daughter in the hospital today and I guess she will not be coming home until tomorrow. I also have a cousin that is almost ready to be brought home Friday, but will have special needs so I will have a lot on my plate the next few days. I started to put together my slide show of pictures last night when I got home from the hospital. I still have to retreive the photos that Erin took. She got some of me climbing on the trail and did get some nice shots of the scenery as we were hiking. I was such a dork, in my over excitment every time I saw a shadow of something flying overhead I would starting looking up and loose my balance and kept stumbling over rocks and stuff. I was trying to scan everywhere, take pics, look thru binoc and watch where I was walking all at the same time. So thank goodness she was taking pictures. Dave said when he saw a lady looking up at the tops of all the trees he figured that it was probably a A49Cruzer and came over to me. We are such an obessed bunch, I LOVE those eagles. I also told Dave how much we all love him and the Crew and wait with much anticipation for those updates. Which hey, today is Update Day. Woohooo!!!! |

Troth: Hope things move forward for you and yours! And when you have that moment when you might be a bit tired - close your eyes and think back on your trip to the island!!

Troth - After trying to do all these things at the same time, just consider yourself a very special "Multi-Tasking" heroine. Looking forward to all your photos. |

Looks like it must be cloudy or overcast today - the nest looks much darker and less sunny than usual. Hopefully A49 and the other eagles are getting a respite from the heat. |

Read the posts before I logged in and have a 10 a.m. Mesowest report for you, but will be 11 a.m. by the time I post this. Mesowest reports 70 degrees with 71% relative humidity on Santa Cruz Island--10 a.m. Sandie, hope you're feeling better and can get some sleep today. Last week I was wondering how you were doing...and now, your whooping cough. I'm so sorry about your daughter. Teri, I had the biggest smile while reading about your island adventures. So funny, describing yourself as a dork. It was a relief to read your description of yourself...cause mine is exactly like yours right here on my little hill. I get dizzy with the binocs and am working on improving this. Sometimes I just look plain screwy. I'm not even looking for eagles...just something big, whatever, in the raptor family. <_< I have to put my big gardening hat on because the sun with binocs is blinding to me...look like such a dork over here. And neighbors walking by get to see the nutty displays. Oh, well. Teri, meant to add that it's great about your cousin. Still, life will be different now for all of you, won't it? |

I have been described as the screwy one in the bunch. I am usually very quiet and kinda introverted but when it comes to my interests I am just over compassionate and get over excited (and over opinionated, I am told). When I am driving on Hwy 1 and I see dolphins, I yell OMG Dolphins and swerve over to the side of the road and stop to watch them. My friends and family are used to it now and just put up with it, all the while rolling the eyes by the way. I was very excited on Santa Cruz cuz I knew the eagles were there. Thanks for your thoughts, my cousin is going to go through some tuff times and we are all hoping he has the drive and desire to work at it. It is out of our control now and up to him and his maker. That is where my over opinionated compassion will kick in and I will have to get in there and cuss him out if I have to get a spark going. I hope you join us for the trip, it is a nice place. As far as the neighbors go, I am the pajama lady that runs out to see what the cat fight is about or what bird just flew by or what dog is loose on the street, so you go girl, give those neighbors something to talk about. |

Troth, have we gotten your computer fixed yet? I lose sleep about it. And are you kidding me?, I go to Safeway in my Joe Boxer pajamas with big yellow smilie faces all over them. And I wear a blindingly yellow t-shirt so that the ensamble matches. Both my husband and I are known as "those people" in our 'hood and we like it that way. |

Good Morning Everyone... I know I haven't been around much the last few days. I've been reading everything here but I've had a lot on my mind for the last few days, and have been lurking... Being Wednesday, and we all know that it's update day, I thought I'd pass a long a little update of my own... Last friday I got an e-mail that changed my world and my life in such a powerful way, that mere words cannot describe the joy and elation I'm feeling in my life and in my heart. I met a very special beautiful woman that has once again shown me what it's like to love someone and to feel loved in return, something that has been lacking in my life for a long long time. For me, meeting her was love at first site, and she is encouraging my feelings. I've spent many hours chatting with her on line and many more hours on the phone and we've even gotten together a couple of times in person and through it all we are becoming closer and more endeared to each other. I've tried hard to find fault and I can't so now I'm just enjoying what I'm feeling, and with her, looking ahead to the future. I'm obviously very, very happy and I just had to share this news with all of you, my friends. Thank you to all of those who kept the fundraiser thread up on top during this last official weekend of summer, we are so close to officially breaking our original goal I expect to get word on it and to get those tympanis going at any moment. I'm so excited...the last few months for me has been a very happy and thrilling one as well, with all of you and the fundraiser and the upcoming raffle. I'm looking foward to the trip in October and I'm hoping that I'll have my girlfriend with me when we go. I'm hoping that we get to go to Prisoners Harbor as the drop point because that will mean that all my wishes are coming true, especially if see what we're all hoping to see...EAGLES!!! Look forward to an update soon on the other thread and I will talk to you all real soon. Darrell

Wow Darrell - how great for you (and her) I think we've all had some real times in our life where that light at the end of the tunnel seems to sometime get farther away than closer! When I met my "now" husband - it was truly love at first sight and we get along so terrifically - can't now imagine my life without him in it! You go dude!!
