Eagle D, congrats on meeting someone special you can really connect with. We wish you the best in this budding romance, take it slow & sweet. And we hope to meet her on October 22nd....

Troth, so sorry about the illnesses in your family. I really enjoyed your island adventure story and look forward to the photos. I have to find my walking stick!

Wow.. how do I respond to all the great e-mails and great news about Darrell and his "D"... First:

Teri.. all the best for your daughter and your cousin.. family is first for all of us.
Sandie.. you broke my heart with your opening post... keep strong.. Dibs is my granddaughter's favorite.. its so easy to put just a few in a small dish.. no spoon.
Darrell.. what can I say... we are so happy for you and hope the magic continues..
LBtheScot- yes, I have heard about your new great white shark and wish I were closer to have a good look... great aquarium, been there many times.
cdn-cdn- New bumper sticker for you: "I Brake for Snowy Owls".. Good for you!!!
Dave and Jann- Good luck with daughter-in-law... My daughter-in-law is like my own daughter and whatever the procedure, I would be totally concerned .. good you are there for the kids...
This evening I noticed the peacocks flying up to their roost in the pine trees, 50 feet off the ground.. and then, the wild turkey that we've had for a couple of months, flew up with them.. roosting on the same limb... all four of them together.
with that sweet thought.. goodnight all...

Eagle D's D! Welcome to our happy fambly! My name's Deb too. We have a few others and lots of Pats and Pattis too. We are the best if we do say so ourselves and we can't wait to get to know you!

Elaine Ruth is on a roll today and never ceases to entertain us. You'll have to catch up on all the inside jokes. All are in good fun. I almost had to call her today to see if I could get some of what she was having.

Have you seen the DVD yet? It'll only cost you $25 to see it but it'll be the best money you ever spent. A friend of mine stopped by on her way home from work after the swing shift last night (who wakes this bird up at midnight and doesn't want to see Dr Sharpe flying like an eagle?) Now she gets to have her very own copy just for that.

we know your sister's name is Karen but what is yours???

I kinda liked being incognito. My sis & I share the same initials too.... well if you must know..... In the US I am called Kathy, in Oz I am called Kath. Not sure how this happened, but I'll answer to anything but Kate!

On this forum, you've referred to me as Ozzie, which is just fine (except I sound like a Yank!)

Is Ozzie ok? I didn't mean anything bad by it, just didn't know your real name. Happy Sweet 16 to your beautiful daughter too. Are you and Karen twins?

One more reply to Nancy, I answered you e-mail but it ended up in the IWS office and they e-mailed me back, telling me they too loved cats and altho I sent it to the wrong address, they were so nice in responding to me. I was trying to tell you about my 4 kitties and how much they mean to me... I know your Lulu was special to you and you will miss her so..didn't want you to think I ignored you e-mail..Linda

After 20+ years in Australia, my sister is still referred to as a Yank! She has tried to assimilate herself with an Aussie accent, but her American accent still comes through. We will call her Ozzie!

We are not twins, HB, but we are very close in age. We were born 19 months apart.

Lala, you are always so thoughtful. Sweet dreams on you tonight.

IWS Crew, just sitting here tapping my perfectly pedicured talons waiting for you. We live for Wednesdays around here you know. Thank you so much for taking good care of our beloved Troth/Teri this week.

There are worse things to be called than a yank. I should know. Call me flood controlled tonight though :D

Is Yank a bad word in Australia?

I wouldn't think so.

Yes, Yank is not a good word for us US citizens traveling abroad, it has a bad connotation. And given the current political situation, you want to keep your head low if you are traveling abroad.

Just caught up on the posts since yesterday. My flat tire cost me $20 to repair...why $20 to put some gunk in to plug the hole???? Used to be $5....sigh!

Darrell: I'm sooooooooooo happy for you! There is NOTHing like the first rush of love. I look forward to meeting both of you in October.

Sandi: sounds like you're feeling better. Sorry to hear about your car...yours sounds like mine at the moment...one thing after another after another after another....

Troth: hope all is well with your daughter and family

Now that I'm all caught up...I have to go find the cam link at IWS again. They changed the page where I used to click on to the cam and our nest is no longer there.

Lou: did J. finalllly go back to school? Let me know if you need some company finding inner peace.

Ok...offf to check the other threads.
