The nest looks foggy. It seems relatively cool right now - probably A49 doesn't even need to cool off her talons in the fresh springs this morning :D

I have not been reading the posts in detail and this morning I can't get to the Nest from IWS. So I have missed something. Ostrich2 how did you get to the nest today to see it is foggy? The nest is my anchor for the day. Every so often I have another look at it and hope one day to see the parents there to start rebuilding their home for their future family. Early Thursday morning I look for the Wednesday report. Many thanks to the IWS crew.

Hope to hear from someone

Could you give me the direct link to the nest?

Since the IWS homepage is "different", I don't have a way to get there!

Thanks

Once you go to link above, it will automatically open the nest in Windows Media Player. You can then go back to the page with the link on it. The page will be blank but the link will still be there. Then just click on Favorites and add to favorites.

Here's a neat website with lots of eagle pictures. http://www.pbase.com/jerry325i/eagles&view=slideshow

Good Morning all~~

Wow!! that is one foggy nest. It is really socked in over there, not that bad this morning on the mainland driving to work. I am shivering just looking at it.

Good morning to all. Cool and coastal clouds in Vista this morning. What a great Wednesday update: Cruz and her buddies wading in the stream...that is priceless.

Foggy at the nest as I post this.

Happy Thursday to you all, have a great day.

Good morning, all. Here's to a better day! Yesterday was a comedy (?) of errors that didn't end until midnight. :P The grandkids were great....it wasn't them. It was just one of those days where "Murphy" pops up every time you turn around! The highlights of the day were: discovering at an inconvenient time that my son's household was out of TP; going to pull the skillet out of the oven to make the kids dinner and discovering it was full of cooking oil....by splashing it all over myself, the oven and the floor; deciding to take the kids OUT for dinner after the oil disaster to have the server dump not 1, but 2 full glasses of soda all over me! At least it was cold drinks and not hot coffee! :P

But it's a new day today that promises to be better. For one thing it's not supposed to go over 100 for the next three days! :D WOOHOO! :D

The nest looks peaceful and cool this morning. I know a lot of you further north are already talking about 'fall', but for So. Californians, fall doesn't start for at least another month. So a 'cool' nest is a pretty sight!

Great site, Hulabird! The pictures are awesome! Love the captions under them too.

I made an interesting discovery yesterday while GoodSearch surfing about a tagged Catalina eagle (#02) not only being spotted nearby, but also raising a eaglet there this past spring. I'll post the info and links as soon as I get them sorted. We're both excited. Think we're gonna take a road trip this weekend!

Am I doing something wrong?

The link on this page takes me there and it opens automatically.

But, the page that took me there was this page and it's not blank with only the link left.

I'm confused!

Good morning all. The temp dropped considerably last night here on the coast and I had to put the heavy comforter on the bed. It's still foggy...can just barely see part of the first ridge of mountains...and my thermometer says 61. It was weird in Santa Barbara yesterday...I was up on Foothill Rd and it was 80+ degrees and by the time I got down to Shoreline Rd (parallels the ocean), it was 72 with a nice cool breeze off the ocean. I never realized the temp fluctuated that much within S.B. itself.

Teddy: I'm glad you said that...that's what has always happened to me using that link so I always went in thru IWS. I know that before they took the link off this homepage, that blank page would appear....when they removed the link, the blank page went with it. Any ideas anyone of how to save it now? Can we save it directly to/thru Media Player?
