Good Morning to all~~ Skellis & Sandie; hope you feel better today. Verizon folks are coming soon to install fiber optics; hope this isn't a mistake. I suspect the pc will be down most of the all day, so checking in to wish all a good day. There are some nice videos on the new IWS pages. The fighting chicks are pretty funny. |

Good Morning All~ I think fall is coming early here this year, it is cold and foggy and I couldn't see the islands at all coming in this morning. Hopefully the nestoration will start in the next couple months. I sure hope they haven't found another location and come back to this nest. I can't wait for the next saga. I have a friend with three small children that wants me to let her know when it start again. I told her all about the projects and the donations so we may have another member and more contributions. YEA!! I am swamped with work today so I will probably be lurking off and on. Have a great day!!! |

TGIF!!!!!! Another foggy morning here on the coast. When I was driving home at 11:30 last night, I actually had to use my windshield wipers several times. The fog was literally rolling across the freeway midafternoon yesterday which felt great to me! Oz: so sorry about Larry...I know he's had a good life with you with lots of hugs and pets and affection....and now sleeping indoors on the rug...wow!! Life doesn't get much better! I'm off and running....clients want their bills paid...what's with that???? |

TGIF indeed...looking foward to getting together with my D later on this afternoon. You were right, even here in Claremont it started cooling down. Was actually able to turn off the fan for the first time in 2 months...there is a feeling of fall in the air...or is that my head in the clouds as I'm falling...either way, it feels great. D

We are really excited. We will be watching for eagles and we will have at least one grandchild with us. That should provide all the inner peace we need. We'll let you know what we find. |

Skiels...I have found cooking for oneself is not a good idea. They make nice little boxes in the frozen sec of the market with food in it. You just heat it up in the microwave!! LOL. I have done that myself. Now when in doubt....throw it out!!! I guess I feel a little better physically??? These antibiotics are not making my tummy happy. I have to be in the water today for therapy...hope nothing runny happens!! Well, I want to kick/shoot my car. Maybe just shoot it kicking it would only hurt me more!! I thought I had fixed the overheating problem. Last night I drove to school and all's well until I drive in the driveway at school and the thermostat hits the red mark. Had a classmate drive home behind me all the way and I made it home praying all the way. Was glad to find someone at school that lives here too. That was a blessing. As soon as I got home I called my car not too nice of a name and walked away with a splitting headache!! Then tears. I guess I have just about had as much as I can take. Anybody got a crane I can drop the silly thing on it's head? Top that off with I can't find my glasses. The waitress gave me her reading glasses to read the menu last night!!! After awhile you just wonder what can happen next and then the other shoe drops. Wonder where they keep all those shoes? I know what I'd like to do with all of them! Was so glad to read the update on our little Cruz and others. Looks like they are progressing really well. I think I would simply pee my pants if I saw one of our Eagles for real. I always keep my camera in my car. You see some funny things sometimes. If I could figure out how to post them on here I would do so. Got to get ready for the pool. See you guys later. Hold down the fort!! |

Awwwww.....Sandie, so sorry to hear what a rotten week you're having. Mine just lasted one day and that was bad enough. Your whole week has been one thing after another! Sending you hugs and good thoughts for brighter days filled with good things. The good thoughts worked for me. Hope they help your week improve too!

Hello Forum Friends. Looks like a quiet day here as well as at the nest. I hope everyone who's having a hard time with health/car problems lately is hanging in there. I just had some car stuff done last month. Started with a "rough idling", like the car couldn't decide if it wanted to stay on or not. Well, after about a week with no car, and one thing after another having to be replaced, the final bill came to about $1200.00. I just about cried when I saw it. Needless to say, that's why I'm spending my vacation at home taking little trips here and there instead of having a ball somewhere for a whole week. Oh well, stuff happens. At least I have my health. Sandie and Skellis, speedy recovery!! Such great news about us reaching our donation goal!! Was at the Santa Barbara Zoo yesterday, and just now caught up with all the postings. Way to go everyone!! I will post some pics from the zoo sometime today. Got some nice ones of the two eagles there, as well as of the Snow Leopard, which is also one of the species the IWS is trying to save. The island foxes were sleeping, and I actually only saw one. Took a pic of it sleeping. Too cute!! Our nest looks empty. But from what I read, we have had some nest guests? Nice to know it's not completely deserted. Talk to you all a little later! |
