Good morning everyone! Since I couldn't sleep, and since it is already 3:00am on Saturday morning, and since I have never started the daily thread, I thought I would give it a try. How about that. Never thought I'd be up early enough to do this. I wish everyone the best weekend. Darrell, have fun meeting the kids. Eagle Duo, enjoy Lake Hemet. Hope everyone is feeling better and ready to chat today. I've posted some pix from the Santa Barbara Zoo in the pix thread, and I'm also working on uploading a whole bunch more to somewhere where you guys can go look at them if you're interested. Will let you know when it's ready. Okay, not a bad first try. Now, where is everybody? WAKE UP!!

Poopity doo doo Poopity doo What, oh what, should I do? Plenty of rest and plain dry toast Poopity's all gone! Too-da-loo! Skellis: Hope you're feeling better! Just a little something to "lighten" up your day! Hee! Hee! Sorry, I couldn't pass it up. Too funny about the gross bird noises! I didn't realize birds would do that. Darrell: Have fun meeting the kiddies today. Can't wait to hear the highlights. Bixby: Happy to hear that you spotted an eagle up at Big Bear. I'm anxious for you to move in there as well...more eagle photos coming our way??? I sure hope so! ER: Have fun with the 8 month old. Would you be interested in watching my 15 month old too?? Hee! Hee! I'd throw in a 42 year old for free!!! Lana: Stop kicking cars! It's bad for your pedicure!! Eagle Guy: We'll help you to take the time to step back and realize just how glorious your job really is! Really! Just remember that when you're setting out food for the eagles, switching eggs, banding chicks, listening on the transmitters, etc... you have a bunch of A-49ers that are dying to be in your shoes! We promise we won't trip you! Oh and about all the paperwork...sorry I think I'll walk in my own slippers when you're doing that. Coffee's good this morning...can you tell?? WAKE UP TIGER!!! I know you've gone back to sleep...WAKE UP!!!

Good morning all. Boy, I just got back from the family pix thread and it was wonderful! Bea, thanks so much for your zoo pix. In keeping with yesterday's theme, we have a crappy zoo here so I really appreciate seeing all the wildlife you all have in the mainland. Elaine, that is some gorgeous wallpaper! Ozzie/Kath, so sorry to hear about Larry. you might want to check out that legacyforlife.com site I mentioned. My friend gives it to her dog who was diagnosed a very long time ago with lymphoma and he has live way beyond the expected time the vet gave him. This was over a year ago and he's still kicking. I am so with Eagle Duo on their trip to Lake Hemet. You guys do so many fun activities all the time you don't even have a chance to mess your house up to have to do any cleaning. I stay in my nest about 24/7 and watch it explode around me on a daily basis.

Have you hugged your Teddy Bear today? Today is Teddy Bear Day! Celebrate it with your favorite Teddy Bear! Important Notice: Teddy Bear Day is NOT an official holiday. Your teddy bear does not get the day off. He still has to do his job and be loveable and cuddlesome. |

Hi Deb, I have been exhausted this week with the new job. After not haveing a regular schedule all summer, it will take a while to get used to one. I really like the job and my new boss. I will spend part of today catching up on all the posts for the past week. The update on Wednesday was great, it was all I got to see this week. Also... I got my CD this week Deb. Thanks so much, with next weeks pay, I will be sending in a donation. I am going to try and watch it this week. I have to play it on my puter, don't have a DVD player as of yet. Again Deb, thanks so much for being so generous! |

Good morning all. Quiet and perhaps overcast at the nest this morning. Today is a packing day....no, not to Big Bear, but for vacation: yea, it's here at last. We'll be leaving for Bass Lake, California, near Yosemite, for 10 days tomorrow, so I'm packing my ditty bags today. Possible eagle sightings at the Lake, we've seen them there before, as well as ospreys. Only bad thing: no computer for 10 days, so I will have a lot of catching up to do on 9/22. Happy Saturday to you all, check with you later. |

Wanted to say Good Morning...we're off to a wedding in Los Angeles this afternoon. Verizon must return for our fiber optic installation, but since I had to move my bird cages for them yesterday (for nothing), I did a lot of cleaning around the aviary. It sure needed it. Whew! Bird dust all over cobwebs, like Halloween. Aviary sidenote: Huge slugs move through the aviary at night, and why they do this is beyond me. If I go in late to close windows, whopper slugs are making their way on the red brick flooring. What on earth could they be eating in there? There are no plants. ??? How do they squeeze in the aviary? It is a mystery. |
