If they are moving to relocate to food sources, etc. what would an average distance be in a day: youngster ?? adult? or would there be a big difference? Thanks

It all depends on food availability and location. On the Channel Islands, adults generally only move within their territories, but they are capable of hunting. Juveniles can move from 50 m (if they have a nice carcass to feed upon) to well over 100 km per day. In general, youngsters would move more than adults due to their need to scavenge versus hunt.

Thanks for the info (of course I only do inches - feet - miles!!) But my hubby is an architect and is working on an international project so he can convert for me!! It's amazing how we live here with all these creatures yet so much of the time take no notice or take them for granted! Shame on us...
