I don't have the time to look for the first reference to Men In Trees, so I'm doing what we're supposed to do in forums anyway and putting a topic in a thread of its own! Hulabird, Have you watched the first episode? Tonight (right now for me), ABC has aired a repeat of the first show and is airing the 2nd one. What are your impressions of the show? I wonder if Benrubi will die on ER or appear in both these shows at the same time? |

Pardon my language, but it Sux!! The lead female character is completly miscast. There are some other really good actors (esp. the bartentender) but basically it's a poor rip-off of Sex and the City and Northern Exposure. Gorgeous scenery but you can find that on nat'l geographic! Which, BTW, is on PBS right now with a show about protecting the Great Bear Forest in Canada!!! |

I can't even read your posts, because the replay isn't on yet and a friend called me from her vacation in Seattle and left a message that I HAD to watch it tonight. I will get back to you on my opinion

Helen, I don't think I gave anything away! Elaine, I don't think I'm going to be a fan of it, either! I never watched Sex and the City, but it does seem like Northern Exposure re-made with new cast members! Both episodes I've seen had a few good moments, but as a whole, neither show made the grade for me! (Not a fan of Anne Heche, either!) |

Do a search on PBS.org for your zip code. Show is called "Last Stand of the Great Bears" in Canada |

Denny, I've only watched about 20 minutes of it so far but have it on Tivo. I was hoping for some eagle sightings. I too like the bartender and looking forward to more of the raccoon's antics. Other than that, Anne Heche is a creep and a lousy actor. |

Well, not to worry - I've read all of your posts and am totally lost. I put it on tape, because as usually happens someone dropped by and just now left. Since I haven't seen this first one, I'll just go ahead and tape the one following and catch up on both this weekend. Never watched Northern Exposure, but kind of wish I had. To be honest with all of you, the only major network show I was watching was Medium and I'm really upset that it wasn't on the fall lineup. <_< |

Harpo, what do you mean by "Rescue Me"shows. Am I derelict in my duties as usual? My Tivo remote is always on duty. And PS I still love you and your avatar. Waving |

Rescue Me is about a firehouse in NY City - it runs in the summer (so the season just finished) Everyone where I work watches it and I got sucked in last summer. It's on Fox - it's pretty raw but it's sure representative of new yorkers! I was about 6 episodes behind so the last couple days I finally sat down and watched! http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/rescueme/ It's the show with Dennis Leary - he was nominated for emmy this year. Now I'm trying to get caught up with all the new shows coming on for the fall - my poor little fingers trying to set my little machine! And I'm a big fan of Amazing Race (I'd love to do that show) and Survivor (wouldn't ever do that stuff). Now I have to check out Men in Trees ---- I got show #1, if there was #2 I missed it - duh - I only set it for 1 episode - shoot myself in the foot!! |

Okay - here is Helen's review of Men In Trees" (anxious to see what everyone else's opinion is). Had I watched the first episode when originally aired, I probably would have changed channels after the first half hour. But, fortunately, I watched the back to back shows with my morning coffee and I'm TOTALLY HOOKED!!! Have to say, though, that my emmy nomination would be her furry little stalker. |
